I'm thinking about a lighter GPU upgrade before MEA comes out, but I'm not entirely sure that my current rig is enough. Ideally I would like to play at 1440 p with high or ultra settings at about 50-60 FPS, but 1080 p would be alright. Right now I have two Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB with SLI, but I'm worried that the VRAM isn't high enough since SLI doesn't combine VRAM plus that it still hasn't been anounced if SLI is supporten in MEA.

I have been looking at:
- MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Gaming X
- ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition

The ZOTAC in my country costs about double to the MSI, and it would probaly be the better choice but the price is borderline steep for me. Would the MSI be enough? Some forums have suggested that my current setup would give better results than the MSI, but I don't see how that would be possible?

64-bit Windows 10
AMD FX-8350 8-core 4,01 GHz
16 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 6602GB x2, SLI

would be more effective if you said "2gb isn't enough for 1080P let alone 1440P" :D

Look into AMD 480, 4gb should be enough, but if you are swaying to 1440P then you should stretch to the 8gb or see how much a R9 Fury is in your country - if it's cheaper buy it, its a pretty beast card

Isn't a 1070 going to get bottlenecked by my CPU though?

shoot, didn't see that. Go with an RX480/GTX 1060 6gb maximum then, unless you're planning to upgrade to ryzen/kabylake

Just bought an RX 470 for exactly this reason, sure on funds atm so couldn't stretch to a 480 unfortunately. There are some really good deals available on both right now.

I might be able to get hold of a second hand RX480 8GB Gaming X from one of my friends, I just found out :) Price (converted to USD) is about $220 which seems like a good deal (ZOTAC in my country is about $360)

yeah that's a way better deal. you get the same performance for over 100 usd less

Now things got diffcult lol :) Same friend happens to have a ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB DUAL (unused) for basically the same price as the RX 480. Ugh, decisions....

Get whatever is cheaper, in your current spot I would go with the 480 considering ME games seem to favor AMD hardware and new games seem to be running 3-5 FPS faster on Polaris due to driver optimization.
