Not sure what card or other system specs you're running now because you haven't posted them, nor have you given a budget but: CSGO is a very easy game to run and imo ultra settings isn't really worth it but to each his own. A 1050ti could easily push 144fps on cs.

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700k @4.3ghz, Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7, RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB @2400mhz, GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 , Case: Corsair 300R, Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 256GB SSD, WD 1TB Black HDD, WD 2TB HDD PSU: Evga SuperNova 750 G2, Display: ASUS VG248QE @144hz, Cooling: Cooler Master V8 GTS, Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Platinum, Mouse: Logitech G502 Lightspeed, Sound: Phillips SHP9500 + VModa Boom Pro, Operating System: Windows 10 Pro

95% of the Pro CSGO players play 1024x768 or slightly smaller/bigger with everything on low, some turn textures on medium but thats about it. If you are planning csgo on ultra u must be very bad at it, if you want game with good graphics play battlefield cs go is not for casuals. BTW it doesnt matter what graphics card u have, you can pretty much run cs go on an 8 to 9yrs old graphics card with 250fps, all you need is a good CPU and your cpu is not good for CS, a i5 atleast is what I would recommend

You don't know what you are talking about, I hope this is sarcasm. You need a good GPU to run CS, not an i5, CSGO can achieve high framerates at 1080p max settings, and '95% of the Pro CSGO players play 1024x768' is completely made up since resolution and textures contribute to the ease of playing on the game.

No, you might want to upgrade your CPU to something like the G4560, but the gt 730 isn't for gaming, buy the 1050/Ti.

Keep everything else as it is, possibly get an SSD, replace the CPU for a Haswell i5, add another 4GB of ram, reply back with how much money you have left for the GPU.

For 144fps, a 1050ti is the best deal. Since your CPU is in the Haswell family, upgrade to an Haswell i5 later if you cant get 144fps.

Before that, getting to 8gb ram is also nice

Wow. Since certain people on this post like to portray they have some sort of knowledge on something they obviously don't, I'll add another bit.

Csgo is a very CPU bound title, meaning in almost all cases, the better your CPU, the better your FPS. This doesnt mean you can have a GT 730 and an i5 6600 and still get that constant 144fps but it does mean that you can go lighter on the GPU with a 1050ti and beef up the CPU to something like an i5-6500 and still get very good FPS.

nah ... i play with friends. for the fun of it.

some of them are way over my skill level, some below it but nobody cares ... and none of us needs that "you gotz tha play at 800x600 becoz dem headz get bigga" bullshit. ... either you can hit a moving target or you can't.

if you can't hit the broad side of a barn from 3 yards away then 800x600 won't help you either

The build I posted would basically get you started. As said, the game is very CPU sensitive, if you could throw in a couple hundred more $$$ you should really try and get something like this:

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor  ($199.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-AB350-GAMING 3 ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($81.98 @ Newegg)

Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB ACX 2.0 Video Card  ($134.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $590.94

EHMM??? why the hate???? what did i do to you??????? please people act like people not like animals!
What im saying is CSGO is better for players seeking competitive spirit, if you want to shoot things and have cool graphics play battlefield. Im playing cs since 2003, played csgo for a bit and ranked fast to eagle, if i played a bit more i would have gotten global pretty easily, but the game is too toxic for me and i wont play it now.

With that CPU even if u have 1080ti you wont get 144fps constant, cs go is very cpu bound game as i said i would recommend atleast i5. SO MY POINT IS JUST DO YOU DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY buy a i5 and use a very old gpu this way you wont have any fps problems. AND YES 95% of PRO cs go players play on the lowest settings possible and some of them only turn texture details to medium, ALL THOSE SHADOWS get in the way if you have GOD SENT reaction times. You dont have to believe me try finding VODs or videos where players show their graphics settings. 99.999%% here are filthy casuals have 1070s and 1080 and max everything out, nothing wrong with that but just saying save your money.
BTW wont comment any further on this topic because i cannot tell the truth because people hate, so why waste my time helping someone out when 10 others will hate, looks like i dont have a life huh
