As long as the codec is H.264 the file type doesn't matter. Youtube will encode it to what they need anyways.

I believe with OBS they automatically give you presets for what you're outputting your recordings to, in the presets Youtube is one of them and almost all of the settings should be perfect, just ensure you're using NVENC or whatever is best for your GPU.

Numbers comparing this to Boot Camp would be nice. Numbers for this on their hackintosh system versus a native Windows boot would also be nice.

There is very little being said about the gaming support. That video is the only thing that I can find. Gaming footage is at around the 35 minute mark. It shows them running a XBox game on Mac OS X through Parallels 15 through Windows 10 and using an XBox controller. They also have a description about the graphical work that they did at the 2 minute 54 second mark.

It seems like Mac OS X users will be able to run Windows in a VM to play most Windows games. It would be interesting if a place like LTT did benchmarks.

I have own a few PCs and some of them are high powered...but I do keep an old 2008 MacBook Pro around...had to replace the charger as it failed...oddly Apple still sells the real deal. This household is equal opportunity with computers. This old girl actually manages the iDevices in the house handily...still is a nice laptop to use but definitely not daily driver material at 11 years old.

I had earlier gotten a 6TB WD Black HDD, and a 4TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD to finally complete my Ryzen build. The build was easy, and my system powered up on my first attempt. Either a Ryzen rig's easy to build, or I have gained godly skill after years of system building. ?

I got myself a 2015 Fiat Ducato XLWB cargo van yesterday, going going to spend the next few months converting the inside as a campervan kinda thing so i can travel around Australia and do the touristy thing in my own country ?

My plans so far are to have around 900 watts of solar on the roof and a 400 or so amp hour lithium battery bank so i can still run my PC, TV and game consoles while also being able to charge up an electric motorbike that i have my eye on (Sur Ron Light Bee X), it'll also have all of the basics like a fridge, kitchen and shower/toilet.  Will probably show some updates as things progress in the months ahead but i'd love to hear any tech related any suggestions any of you may have for such an undertaking.

    Thanks in advance!

(I'm aware i won't be able to do all of those things at the same time, just thought i'd say that before someone felt the need to point it out lol)

I'm an attorney, but I don't know if this is universally true or if it's just my area. Obviously, this is civil suits. Criminal law us quite different.
You know all that information and evidence you handed your lawyer? Yeah, your opponent's lawyer has that information now, too. People working within the same legal areas talk to one another and there's generally an interest in total information transparency within a given case. You're never going to present a smoking gun in the court room itself. Your opponents legal team has had ample time to prepare for everything.
Also, your lawyer and your opponents lawyer are probably going to go out for lunch and golf right after the case.

Would definitely recommend it, the feeling of contructing your own keyboard instead of conforming to the big brand's expensive pre-builts and making a build that is personal to you down to the switches is an awesome project.

Mine is a 60% with hot-swappable switch sockets for easy removal of switches, I'm actually getting NovelKeys Creams switches soon and will be removing my Kailh Box Jades in exchange for the Creams, the glorious perks of having a hot-swap is no soldering nor de-soldering is needed.

I own a SD821 device with LineageOS. Speed is quite fine. Photo editing in Lightroom isn't appreciably slower than on my desktop either (though Mobile Lightroom may actually be using the GPU compared to PC). The GPU of even (within reason) older 8xx SD chips tend to exceed newer 6xx and 7xx chips by a fair margin as well, though for 99% of stuff, this is hardly relevant.

My complaints about my phone is entirely unrelated to the SoC. Really hate my display when the dynamic contrast is throwing a hissy fit, for example.

mrchow19910319 reacted to DocSwag in Snapdragon 8xx 7xx 6xx what’s the really world difference?
It really depends on what device you're using them with. If the manufacturer did a decent job with their customization of Android, you'd probably be fine with even a 6xx level of SoC (look at the Pixel 3a, google did a solid job on the software side and it performs fine). Modern 6xx SoC's perform like a Snapdragon 835 from 2 years ago, which still holds up pretty well compared to the snapdragon 855 in real world performance. As a quote from Anandtech's Pixel 3a review:
    and
I'd also argue that there's a lot of other factors you should look at, e.g. amount of RAM and storage type (usually UFS storage is going to be a fair bit better then eMMC and result in quicker application load and install times).

So you'd mostly be fine with a 6xx or 7xx device as long as the software isn't too bloated. As an owner of a snapdragon 835 Pixel 2 XL, who's SoC has similar CPU performance to modern 6xx and 7xx SoCs, it mostly is still very snappy, and only occasionally do I encounter small bits of slowness. Something with an 8xx will be a little better, but the difference will be small
