Evga 750i FTW. Its the first mobo i ever bought.

I  just pick up an amazing lot of core 2 duo's off local classifieds. Me and my 750i ftw are going to have some fun this weekend.

I think so too, the side ventilation is already plenty, both to the overall ventilation and the look of the case. Adding that square-y front mesh just makes the case look too busy.

It does nothing for load times. Iv tried it on my system and had no benefit. Also LTT has made a video for this.

You could download a gpu overclocking program like msi afterburner and create a custom fan profile.

From my experience, The Forest is a horribly unoptimized game.

I keep all my boxes in-case i ever sell them, but mostly for the bling bling factor.

The 850G2 is more than enough. You could go a bit smaller if you'd like. 
I wonder why you'd go with a Z97 board and K-sku cpu if you're not going to oc.

I have bought 7 Cpus and 3 motherboards off eBay and had no problems. Plus most big retailers on eBay have a DOA warranty.

Going to order straight from Ek. I haven't looked around at any one else. I just seen a post about Bitspower supposed to be releasing a full cover block.

Oh man you have an SR-2, I have nerd envy. Wish I could find one that isn't already price gouged. 

Ever since i bought my first x58 motherboard off Kijiji a year ago, I've been hooked.

I've seen a lot of folks curious about Xeons the last couple of days, I am guessing over a video by Linus (I need to check youtube). These are excellent platforms. I've had various guides about how to OC them and figured I would post some of them. Between all the videos you should have a basic idea and will be able to come up with a decent OC with the info you gain from these videos. You can easily score in the upper 900s in Cinebench with one of these Xeons, and sometimes over 1000. Paired with the right GPU its possible to get 17k+ Firestrike scores as well (with a single GPU). They are an excellent platform if you can find one used for cheap off craigslist for instance or in the case that you already have an X58 LGA 1366 motherboard and do not realize its potential. 
 

lol i did that with my old Q6600 but i didn't add enough anti freeze to the loop. That cpu was not happy :wacko:

lol! thats epic. you've made over £200 and got as faster cpu, that sounds like something prokon would do
