    I too saw this folder on my C drive and began investigating. didnt find much online but I did find this forum. These are the steps I took;

used my USB drive on my 2nd PC running windows 7 64bit (same as my main rig) and on my 3rd pc running win8.1
gvtemp folder has not shown up on either of those pc's

    THEN
I nuked the USB and both drives on my main rig (ssd and storage Hdd)
    I installed fresh win7 64bit
I installed drivers and hardware utilities....
    gvtemp shows up again.

I then scan both pc drives and the USB with Norton360, kapersky, and malwarebites, all 3 found nothing

I then clicked pretty much every google result for gvtemp folder for the first 3 pages of google and found a forum in chinese or something where someone posted that this folder is created by gigabyte OC guru ii utility. Well I just so happen to have installed that for my 980ti windforce.

ps) the trojans associated with the gv name are discribed as doing things like editing your host file with like 200 extra lines to block or misdirect web traffic or something, my host file is unedited and only has like 20 lines in it. Other malware associated with the gv name were discribed as a "shortcut virus" and my usb was not showing any shortcuts.

All the components above are made from reliable brands and will come with warranty. I wouldn't expect anything to crap out for quite awhile.
It will basically come down to when you fell that that speed is not good enough... With it being a SSD based OS and a Quad core this thing will be pretty fast indeed.

It should never "crap out". If you wanted to keep it up to date as long as possible, adding another 4 gig of ram, and a GPU is the best thing you can do. It will last for years...

This system above though will cream any notebook/chrome book at anything from the 300-600$ range. adding a 100$ second hand GPU and 20$ stick of ram will turn it into a really nice system.

the wan show started over 2 years ago back in linus' house
it wasnt a wan show, it was just a random tech stream
then he moved to his garage
    then he added luke
then they started calling it the wan show
then they moved to the new office
then at one point they make a strawpoll and add a random thing every time for people who want to have fun and vote for a non-poll-related option
for example, yes, no, or potato

then at some point they decided they liked turnip best and now use that all the time as the "extra" option in polls

Thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate it.

One thing I really want people who long for the good 'ol days to consider is this: Have I really changed, or have you changed?

The timing of this post is particularly interesting since it comes RIGHT AFTER I uploaded not one, but two motherboard videos in just a few days... What is more "classic LTT" than a motherboard overview video? Yes, it's better shot, and I have a chance to gather my thoughts BEFORE the video rather than during it (scripting), but is it POSSIBLE that you just don't need to hear about every motherboard anymore since there just isn't really that much to say about them?

The reasons you see me branching out are not due to a focus on money, but because I believe in the longer term it will be better for the audience. #1 is that I try not to say or do the same thing twice if I can avoid it. If that means that I don't unbox all three capacities of the same power supply the way that I used to, then so be it. #2 is that I let my own personal interests and projects guide the direction of the content because if I'm not actually passionate about it, you guys will clue in for sure and then this is all just pointless.

I'm sorry to those folks that aren't as interested in headphones as I am, but the content will continue to be about the things I think are interesting, not just PC tech.

Also some of the complaints here seem to be pure bandwagoning... The folks that are saying that *I* have sold out to ASUS because *Logan* made however many ASUS videos with JJ... Are you for real? CES coverage aside, I've made 5 ASUS product videos this calendar year. FIVE. If anything you guys should be hounding me about not adequately covering them given what a MASSIVE player they are in the PC space...

And frankly many of the other criticisms are like that... Calling what we do a commercial compared to the older-style unboxings is laughable. GO WATCH THE OLD STUFF. I'M LITERALLY READING THE BOX ON CAMERA. I have no prior experience with the product. It is PURE commercial. Now go watch one of our recent reviews (bear in mind not everything we do is something I'd consider a review) like this one:

Not a commercial. Contains many comparisons to other products. Ends with a recommendation against the product in the video.

As for us not going to Computex, quite frankly it's the viewer-base that spoke on this one. Last time I checked our Computex coverage last year got 1/2 as many views as our CES coverage, and cost our sponsors well over twice as much. You guys didn't care, so we aren't going this year.

    Computex 2013 coverage: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8mG-RkN2uTyJKThbEAxoGGi8uXxNqnbb

edit: one more thing. Don't take the fact that I'm presenting my arguments here as a dismissal or to mean that I don't care about the viewpoints of my viewers. I truly do. If I didn't care, I would just be like every other YouTuber and ignore your message. I want our videos to make every one of our viewers happy. It's just not always possible

    My Take

Personally, I like the price drop, but with out evil™ DRM™™ regulating the play back device to check its screen size, how is the purchasing going to work properly the way he proposes?

As if they didn't put evil™ DRM™™ on it, you could abuse it, e.g.

"Oh, this film is £7.99 on x store, let me just go on my phone, pay £1.99 for it, then copy it to my PC. Saved myself £6."
OR   Troll Science version:   - Go to buy film, leave mouse over buy button - Remove monitor from PC giving effective screen size of 0" - Film then becomes free as the screen is 0", purchase it - Plug monitor back in - ??? - Profit - Problem Film Companies? -trollface.png-

Here's my example to help elaborate:

    Current film purchasing system:
     - Buy 1080p film on your Phone
     - Sync your Phone with your PC
     - 1080p film can now me played on your PC and your Phone in HD
     - Paying for an increase in picture quality is understandable and acceptable, as you are getting a tangible benefit to parting more money. I.e. SD to HD.

    Proposed film purchasing System:
     - Buy 1080p film on your Phone for £1.99
     - DRM blocks you from watching on anything but a (say your phone has a 5" display) a 5" phone/device
     - You then have to purchase the exact same 1080p film but on your PC, you now you've bought the same thing twice, but also...
     - Oh, you bought a new monitor? What's that, its a 23" and your old one was 22"? Too bad, buy it again / upgrade to 23" version for the exact same 1080p film
     - Hopefully you get my point, yada, yada...

I suppose its following the same train of thought/mentality that many, many people seem to have, that: screen size = better quality. The amount of people I've had to tell that their TV is not better than say, my pc monitor because its bigger, E.g. their 720p 32" plasma is not better than my 24" 1200p IPS monitor because its 'bigger'.

    Or

When people are buying graphics cards and deciding whether to buy it or not on its capability to drive a 32", 45", x" display when, in fact, most of us are trying to explain to them why its not the screen size that indeed matters but the resolution. Then subsequently trying to explain what resolution is, then after that doesn't work getting the model number for the TV to check ourselves, then when given the answer "oh I don't know, Panasonic 32" in black" ... you catch my drift. (and yes, I was narrating that question with you guys in mind, as I'm sure we've all been there. Ha, fun.)

In its proposed state, in my opinion, its not going to work. Personally, the way that it is currently measured (on resolution, SD, HD, Full HD, Beyond HD, 4K, etc...) is a sensible structure, but does need a price drop. And cinemas, get out of 'ere charging £15/ticket, that certainly needs to change. nutters.

I'd love to hear @LinusTech 's opinion on this on the WAN show. =)

mbuckingham24 reacted to Paralectic in Test Drive Unlimited 2 review
Hello and welcome to my review of the relatively old game Test Drive Unlimited 2.
I am aware of the fact that the game was released in 2011, I've purchased it in 2013 and I will still review this title because the series are discontinued and I do still enjoy the game untill today.

Now something about me regarding the racing genre on PC.
I do not like racing games where you can race on a track, in a car which is almost unhandle-able ( in my opinion, ofcourse ).
With these games I mean Grid, and partially Dirt.

Okay, I did enjoy Dirt 3 and Dirt Showdown without a doubt but in the end, playing with a controller or a steering wheel, it didn't satisfy me enough to keep me playing these titles once in a week or more often.

So now back to what I do enjoy in a game of the racing genre.
I do really like the open-world idea, having a big map or several maps ( In Test Drive's case: Island ).
Driving around without anything forcing you do to anything, making speed and just drive all across the island on various landscapes with a nice sight does satisfiy me.

Buying a relaxing car, my Ferrari 458 Italia, Purple with black rims in this case: And just cruising around the island, on the roads with water to the right of me and the city to the left of me, hearing the engine doing it's work is what I like.

Not being forced to drive a track, do a race and aiming on finishing first without anything else you can do.
Just free-roaming in open worlds with customizable cars which you can upgrade and adjust to any specification you want.

And that's for the driving part, now for the experience in terms of sound.

The sound of the car, in various situations ( Driving in sand, dirt, or just a normal road ).
The sound is different every time, for every car in any situations ( weather too for example ) is just perfect in the game and these small things help me enjoy the game more than I already did.
Driving through a tunnel while It's raining in my custom white Nissan GT-R is what I can't do in any other game.
    And these elements of Test Drive is what makes me want to play the game, the endless options to tune and adjust cars to exactly how I'd like to and then going on the road, hearing the right sound and feeling good when playing the game .. Yeah, that;

Now for the other part of the game:
    Missions, Money, Houses and avatar.

Missions in Test Drive are tasks you have to complete which can be anything from getting a high adrenaline bar, but also could be driving above a certain speed and also opposite missions like driving really careful without the person next to you in the car getting sick.

These missions are pretty fun for the first few times but become boring quick, but they reward you with money to buy cars, houses and clothing.

Money in the game is pretty important ofcourse but I feel like you just have to keep grinding the repetitive missions to finally buy the car you have been wanting for a while.

So yeah, the method of money making within the game is something I don't like and that made me want to Cheatengine myself a couple houndred million instead of working for the money I want to buy the car I'd like.

Houses and Avatar: Besides the garage part to store your cars, I don't care about Houses or pimping your avatar ( Buying clothes, getting haircuts, etc ).

So yup, the car driving part is what I like the most of the game.

Okay, for some of you I might have not played the game in the right way, or not long enough but this was my final review of the game.

If I had to give the game a score from 0 to 100 I would give it a 85, some aspects could've been done way better ( Money making and missions ) but the driving itself is what makes the game a good open-world cruising game, and pretty unique in it's genre.
Okay okay, Grand Theft Auto is somewhat more bigger and to some also better but what I care about is the car driving.
In Grand Theft Auto the car driving is only fun when stunting and such with your friends.

So that's it for the review guys, I hope you have enjoyed reading my opinion about this game.

As for the build I really love the colour scheme, all the black makes it look really clean and the orange really stands out without being overused, such a simple build goes to show how you can really build a beautiful rig with just some care and dedication.
