Windows 7 Home OEM key - fresh Windows iso

Hey guys :)

I have a question. I have a Dell XPS 17 with a Windows 7 Home OEM key. Can i use this product key if i decide to install the fresh version of Windows 7 Home? Would there be any problems or anything i need to do before I do it?

Back up your stuff, as well as your drivers.

Yeah I got my stuff backed up. I will just find the drivers afterwards with their hardware ID or DriverSolution.

The only thing I was worried about was that maybe the OEM couldn't work with a fresh Windows 7 iso but only Dells version.

As long as it's the same motherboard you're installing it to, it should work perfectly.

It'll probably be fine, but I can't be sure.  I've never had your problem before.

Make sure you get a MSDN or OEM ISO. A retail copy won't work.

Here you go, full list of untouched Win 7 SP1 MSDN ISOs, theses will work fine
