Help with gtx1050ti

RiceMAn

I am building my second pc right now and I can't get my 1050ti to turn on. By this i mean light up or fans to spin. I was able to get to the BIOS screen and boot up windows 10. Once there things seemed to work fine like a computer should i could open chrome and steam was updating (which i am super confused about because there was no indication the graphics card was on at all) and my only cable going to the monitor is an hdmi cable going from the gpu to the screen. So im totally confused and i dont know what to do.

I have a 750 W power supply, the asus z270-a motherboard, 16gb corsair ram, core i5-7500, and the EVGA GeForce GTX 1050ti gpu.

I'm not great with building computers just yet and i dont know all of the lingo

Help is greatly appreciated.

THANKS

Have you tried to re-seat your graphics card?

Now the fans spin for the first few seconds of turning on the computer then stop and just slow down until they stop

Normal. Fans should usually stop until temps get past 60C. I think you need to install the drivers.
