    TL;DR : Singed integers make it easier to correct errors.

    If my previous answer did not work, try this:
     
    Runtime.exec("cmd /c start /MIN ...")
    The /MIN parameter will prevent windows from appearing in the first place. So you don't have to close it
     
    Also, did you know there is this website called google? You can type any question in that website and you can probably find an answer. Don't be so lazy!

    You don't really have to spend money on programming books. Once you learn the basics(from the books listed above), you can learn the rest with actually writing your own programs and using Q&A sites stackoverflow...
