As far as I'm aware, the only formula board for the Z97 chipset is the Maximus VII Formula. An yes they're still being sold as far as I'm aware. At least they are here in the uk.

They have them on newegg(US), but they're out of stock.

Idle temps don't mean a whole lot, more times than not, they'll hover around ambient temps. An if you aren't using your cpu, no matter how much you've oc'ed, there will be maybe a couple of degrees difference. Your room is 24c and your cpu is 30c. It's about standard.

Well far a start the Rampage is a EATX were as the deluxe is a ATX. So slightly bigger board.
The rampage can support slightly higher RAM frequencies (not that it really matters). It also has slightly better onboard audio.
Unlike the deluxe it can support 4 way sli/crossfire. The deluxe only supports 3 way. 

Though on the otherhand. the x99 deluxe has dual lan.... though they're pretty similar really.

Alot of people who own the 5960x seem to use the rampage as their go to board.

Altogether Asus is one of the leading manufacturers in motherboards and top rated, with decent RMA and support. So you can't really go wrong.

Go for the Rampage.

I have the FX9590 OC'd at 5.19Ghz, running at 58c under load.

A few fps difference in games vs the i7 4770k.

Haha, I had my dreams smashed aswell.
On newegg they had the i7-4790k for £219 so I was like sweeeeeet. Cheap as chips.
Went through shipping/billing, it went from £219 upto £280. like £20 shipping then the rest VAT. 
Bought it off amazon for just £240.

No. The 5 way optimization is pretty crappy
If you're OC your cpu configure it manually in the bios.
An if you're setting custom fan control, also do that in the bios. The AIO suites fan controller sucks balls.
 

Yeah I thought you did, because you went onto say, 'the gpu will max out in performance before the processor'. I was just making sure incase others were abit confused who don't know about bottlenecking.
