Totally the Galaxy Note 5 I have the note 3, and I should be able to get the 5 free as an upgrade. Excited for less shitty touchwiz and decent construction. Less excited for 200mAh less battery

mroz10 reacted to Atmos in Alternative to YouTube?
Haha, topkek mate.
Youtube is such a powerhouse there are no significant video platforms out there anymore. This isn't post 2009, when you have ebaums, custom sites, and newgrounds for videos. Those sites still exist, but with much more niche groups, while anything mainstream or even fringe has moved over to the Youtubes.
I suppose, if someone wanted to try something different, then places like that would still be an option. But the viewer base is small, and the chance to be 'found' is even smaller.

I'm noticing a pattern. Bad ports have exceedingly high minimum requirements (CoD Ghosts, Arkham Shite, etc.).

Something like this and you're well setup for the future with SLI being a possibility later down the line.

Definitely the CPU and mobo, I feel bad for that 980.

Most definitely a motherboard + CPU upgrade. Something like an i7-4790K + ASRock Z97 Extreme6 would be well under budget.

If there is a steam music, you would have to directly buy it from steam, otherwise they would be willfully allowing the distribution of illegal entertainment.

Why is it that we need i7s allnof a sudden?
Are devs getting lazy with optimization or are games evolving?

mroz10 reacted to Atmos in 4K CS:GO Ready?
Considering that csgo runs at 1,0000000000 fps on even low-end hardware, yes.
That and now that I've gotten my 4k panel I've had a bit of time to test it out with some hardware, and that was the second game I tested. Managed to get ~60-100fps on my all low settings with a R9 290 PCS+ and 5820k clocked at 4.2ghz

mroz10 reacted to Imabigmac in The deal of a lifetime
So I was scrolling my local classifieds and found someone trying to sell THREE dead GTX 770's. Anyway they said they killed each when they tried 3 way SLI. Me and a friend picked them up for $75. We tested them all out and not one of them were dead! The problem is that they tried a self repair and managed to loose all the screws and the back IO plate..... But at least they didn't try "Fix" the others. Turns out the seller didn't even try to test the cards one at a time or in a different computer, etc. So it just goes to show you that before you assume it something is dead MAKE SURE ITS DEAD!
We were anticipating them to be display pieces ($25 each) as the Windforce coolers are pretty sexy, so the risk was there. When they all worked we couldn't wipe the smile off our faces. Just to show we aren't total asses we are giving one for free to a friend in need. The others will for sale in the classifieds.
It also turns out I you can run Two 770's and a OC'd 3570k on a 650W psu running kombustor.

Get the GPU and use DSR to run your games at higher resolutions and get the extra crispiness of the image. 144hz is nice but unless you're doing some super competitive gaming it's not even close to necessary. 980ti + 1080p will last a lot longer than 780ti + 1440p 144hz.

mroz10 reacted to Swndlr in Someone needs to buy this...
Whats so funny? It would work fine for most 1080p games on medium, a 260X isnt a bad card by any means, no card is bad, you just need to know what it can handle.
And its not like theres any bottleneck here anyway.
In fact, this is actually a pretty badass console killer build.

the only pentium with an unlocked multiplier is the G3258. you can try BCLK overclocking but the benefits are not going to be much.
