Ok first, why is this in console gaming? Probably going to be moved but I had to ask. Second, I haven't seen a Mac vs PC add in like 10 years so that's not even relevant anymore. Third, Apple sells designer products that come with a designer price. They may not be as powerful as a similar priced PC but they run incredibly well because Apple keeps everything in-house, they can optimize the absolute crap out of their software so it can utilize every tiny bit of their undoubtedly under-powered hardware. Now I use a desktop PC but I use an iPhone 6s Plus and personally I find it much better than any Android device I've used (I've had other phones so don't call me a sheep or some dumb crap like that). They may be under-powered on paper but they make up for it with the incredible efficiency of iOS. Overall, Apple is a competitor and is going to be around for a very, very long time, either suck it up and deal or see yourself out of the tech world buddy.

dditty reacted to cesrai in Office for Mac 2016 now supports Apple's latest gimmick
It's nice seeing MS adapt to the new Mac. It may actually be useful depending if the touch-bar works as intended and doesn't go ham.

dditty reacted to Bouzoo in Office for Mac 2016 now supports Apple's latest gimmick
Because it is better not support a feature right? Let's bash a company because of an option you don't like on a product you never intended on buying. And if you want to bash someone, bash MS because they added support to Office, it was not Apple. But that will never happen.
Of all things, I actully like the touch bar, which I didn't like in the beginning. It is good they started supporting, it could bring a lot of benefits and improvements.
Have you ever heard of 'good ol' mouse and keyboard? Why add touchscreens to laptops and not stick to that?
It is good if everyone starts supporting everything, instead of locking features out.

Depending on how much heat your rig produces, you may want to test system temps with it in the closet before you purchase all of your extensions. Closets tend to be a bit smaller than a room and don't generally have fresh cool air circulating through them.

No door. Well that changes things a bit, but you still may want to test it.
Other than that, I would purchase the cables at the correct length needed instead of using extensions. They make really long HDMI, DVI and USB cables. Instead of trying to extend the PSU power cable, just run a power strip with a long cable into the closet.
I hope that helps.
**Also, buy cables longer than what you think you need. You always come up a little short when doing projects like this.

I had a friend who wanted something similar to this. He used a USB dock, Bose Bluetooth wireless headphone, Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and Bluetooth speakers. I also got him a pcie remote control power and reset switch to turn on his PC without going into the closet. The only thing he ended up routing through was a long hdmi cable to the closet.

dditty reacted to TidaLWaveZ in Funny or too far? Razer Mocks Apple
I'm sure many have seen, but Razer recently tweeted a crude slight against Apple on twitter.
Razer responded to the negative backlash on twitter "We're not looking to offend -- just proud of our SD card slot, which is becoming increasingly rare."
I personally am not offended or bothered and got a slight laugh from this, but I don't consider myself very sensitive. I don't believe this is a personal attack against women or gays like many articles claim, but I do totally understand how the crude nature presented by the tweet could be offensive. What do you think?

I like it. Now install macOS on the razer blade pro and you have a real macbook pro killer.
Too bad that trackpad looks like a disaster that I'd never get used to. Looking forward to Linus' review if he's doing one.

Cmon. Really? Maybe I'm not the sensitive type either but I don't see this as being "a personal attack" at all.
Fed up of reading shit like this.

I'm not offended or anything by it, however it is pretty childish. Something a grade school kid might say to another.
I prefer something that's a bit more witty with more thought put into it.
This is Family Guy level. Come on Razer, be at least Rick and Morty or higher.
