What even are those benchmarks? Surely something better could have been picked... Like obviously a 128 core zen 4 processor would be at least three times as fast as a 32 core zen 1 one.

I think it'd be better to raise the budget if possible to something near £1250. It seems a bit wasteful to spend £950 on a dead-end platform while for relatively not much more you could get better. Say something like 7700X/3D + 7800XT when it releases.

If you don't want so many clickbaits, you might give the extension "DeArrow" a try. I really like it, immediately bought a license to support the developer (he also did SponsorBlock... which I would never use, of course).

They did, and many issues were caught. Some were caught too late, or had corrections that were subpar (such as pinned comments). Contacting LTT for comment would have explained certain things such as the fact that they were initially told they could keep the prototype, That there was a miscommunication within the company that caused the prototype to not be flagged as being returned, and the fact that they were already on the case of reimbursing billet before the GN video went up. 
Then the mouse company should make the film more obvious, as there competitors do (such as whole mouse films and putting the mouse in a protective bag instead). If it was that easy for them to miss it, that points the blame to the mouse company. 
Neither Billet, or LTT knew if the waterblock would work with a 4090. To claim that they were certain that it wouldn't work is a complete lie. 
Linus got emotional, as you likely would if you has the entire community coming for you. His initial response was understandable, though unfortunately he phrased things in such ways that made the community much more disappointed, such as the auctioned vs sold that you have previously bought up. Steve inherently has a Bias, as there company's directly compete. Various pieces of steves video were subjective where they should have been objective. Not all of steves videos was "cold hard facts" and he push's a narrative against LMG the entire time. 
 
They get screamed at when linus posts his opinions unscripted, and screamed at when they do a (semi) corporate response, what exactly do you want?

That is a fault, as they should present valid data for the consumer to decide whether the product is worth it, not have Linus give you an opinion. Linus should have listened to his colleague and permitted proper retesting of the product. 
 
Your actions (Creating an account just as the drama started, naming said account "linustechlies" and screaming at people in reply's) are hallmarks of someone who lives for drama and are better suited for X, rather than coming to a "forum thats only active when there's drama."
 
Can you please bring up Valid criticism rather than jumping on a drama train that helps absolutely nobody. Some of us want to see LTT improve, rather than Burn as you seem to want. 



 

On the TechTechPotato / Ian video, if you aren't used to an academic setting, you likely won't quite understand what Ian is doing. This is very much akin to a Peer Review Edit in a journal article. You take everything chunk by chunk and go over the details. There were notable issues with GN's original video and Ian goes over them pretty well.
 
GN really needed to carefully flesh out some of the optics issues, rather than just putting them in a few sentences that can be taken as shots.
