Sounds like you had a fan bearing leak or something, there is also the possibility that grease could be flux flashing off of a PCB that wasn't cleaned from the manufacture, that tends to occur more so on GPU's especially since thermal pads can also leak an greasy type substance. As for what could be the problem it sounds like something to do with the motherboard.

sometimes IE just isnt working or maybe you just dont want to use that wretched thing  and u really need to install something else then u can use this method 
Go to Start > Run > “cmd” and hit OK. This will load the command prompt. type “ftp” and hit enter. open ftp.mozilla.org It will ask for a username, type “anonymous” and hit enter. It will then ask for a password, type “anonymous” and hit enter. Open the folder with the latest Windows release of Firefox by typing in:
“cd pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US/” and then enter. View the contents of the current directory by typing in “ls” and then enter. Switch to binary file mode by typing in “type image” and then hit enter. Choose the directory to download firefox to by typing “lcd C:\” (Typing this will save it right to the root directory of the C: Drive. When you typed in “ls” from step 7, it should have listed a .exe file for you.  As of writing the latest version is Firefox Setup 3.0.11.exe.  In this case, we will type in: get “Firefox Setup 28.0.exe” (type in the quotes) Now go check in your c:/ drive, and you should see the .exe file downloaded. Type “bye” to exit the FTP mode, and then type “exit” to close out of the Command Prompt.

Go with the NZXT board. And then if you ever need even more headers you'll have more. My mobo had two headers which are taken up, and I needed two more for my Kraken and my... actually I can't remember what else is plugged up. I just know I needed two extra. When I went looking for this board it was hard to find, NZXT didn't seem to be selling it anymore and a few places online had it being sold for over $1000 (clearly some asshole going "If someone wants this bad enough") but yea. $20 isn't bad for something like that, and it's incredibly useful. It's also surprisingly the only thing i've ever been able to find that does this.

same reason i went with the nzxt hub thing too. i just hide it behind the mobo tray. worth it imo even though i paid 33$ it helped a lot

as for mouse, i think optical sensor is the best, i would recommend the Zowie AM, Logitech G400 and the Razer Deathadder 2013.
 
Mousepad i use a Steelseries qck+ because i like a big pad and i use quite a low sensitivity, in the past i have used the Razer Mantis mousepad but its hard to find them now, i was very dissapointed with the Razer Goliathus because the old model had no stitching on the sides and all the edges began to peel after a few weeks, this has not happened yet with my steelseries.

hey guys my dad uses his 2013 imac to do sum editing in final cut pro, it only has a dvd burner but he wants to author sum blurays, im not sure about compatibility, can anybody recommend me one that is 100% compatible with mac?
