j29 got a reaction from Vitalius in Draft for mini ITX build, advice needed
    Comments read, from the top:

    Case: Bitfenix Phenom white
    APU: A10-7850K
RAM: 8GB of something at good value
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI mini-ITX
    PSU: Something Corsair
    SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
    CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L12

Would something like an H80i be a fair idea, if budget allowed?

Yeahhh you make a fair point, duly edited

For the most part yes. Cables are certified as category 1 (tested at 75 MHz, so enough for 1080p 60 Hz) or category 2 (tested at 340 MHz, enough for 3840×2160 30 Hz or 2560×1440 60 Hz).
You need the source and monitor to support v1.3 or higher, and a category 2 certified cable (which is basically all of them as far as I know).

It doesn't have much weight or size to it, but the corners are pretty strong.

If it's the Nokia 3310, be careful because you may end up breaking the hammer instead of the phone.

I just wanted to see if anyone has any experience and preference, as I am looking at getting a new one. I saw slick's new setup with a standing desk and heard they were supposed to be good for your health or something (?), any opinions?
Are they practical for long-haul working like writing reports/essays/dissertations?

    thanks :)

Perhaps buying a new monitor would be the simplest solution. Also, were you to end up buying several splitters/converters etc until finding the correct one it could be cheaper too..

You can use http://pcpartpicker.com/ to locate the best prices for your choices. Do you have a monitor, copy of windows, applicable mouse/keyboard/speakers/headphones, extra case fans etc? I often forget these can be forgotten when budgeting :)
As above, a WD black 1TB would give you the same warranty and MTBF as the seagate one but at a lower pricepoint

People don't complain because they think the company is obliged to make changes. They complain because, as businesses should know, the customer is always right.

"A Youtube user by the name of Zack Scott, who runs Let’s Play videos on the site, has been targeted by Nintendo for using its games in his videos and the video game giant is now claiming advertising revenue from him, despite the fact that his commentary of the games is covered by fair use law.

Using the content ID match system that is often automatically implemented on videos where people use copyright protected music, Nintendo is now claiming all ad revenue from videos that Scott has featured its games in. ....   As part of our on-going push to ensure Nintendo content is shared across social media channels in an appropriate and safe way, we became a YouTube partner and as such in February 2013 we registered our copyright content in the YouTube database. For most fan videos this will not result in any changes, however, for those videos featuring Nintendo-owned content, such as images or audio of a certain length, adverts will now appear at the beginning, next to or at the end of the clips. We continually want our fans to enjoy sharing Nintendo content on YouTube, and that is why, unlike other entertainment companies, we have chosen not to block people using our intellectual property.”

Coupled with Dolby software to determine which individual speaker to send the sound to for '3D rendered' sound. Dolby Atmos/Oculus Rift combo helmet anyone? :D
