I myself like to use the sharpen shader to give vids that extra pop.  It all depends on personal preference.  With PotPlayer the sky is the limit.  Also, it gets frequent updates for new features and bug fixes.
 
look!!  I'm not enforcing you to use it, you can use whatever you feel comfortable with.  I for one will never look at another media player.
 
the only other media player I use is vlc to stream youtube videos.  Potplayer can do it also but not as reliable yet.
 
Zoomplayer is also very good but not as good or as feature rich as potplayer.

pot player has a plethora of built in shaders you can use to optimize the vid quality even further.

Pot Player internal filters and decoder are ok for the uninitiated , but it's nowhere near as good without LAV and MADVr
 
activating NNEID x2 upscale gives 3 dimensionality to videos but you need gpu horsepower for a smooth playback.  Once I upgrade my current gpu(gtx 670 4gb) to probably pascal next year,  I will increase NNEID upscale to x4

I just ordered the gtx980 ($374) shipping included,  I hope the refurb EVGA sends me, looks brand spanking new/working one.  I thought Pascal was going to be released early next year but now I hear it will be released 3QT or early 2017.  I just can't freaking wait any longer.  I have been playing the waiting game for far too long.  I need something more powerful than my current gtx 670 SC 4gb edition.  Also, the 980ti is too expensive at the moment, So! I decided to go for cheap 980 which will serve me nicely until pascal refresh.  Or,  I might just get another one and go sli down the road...we'll see.

this build will go red giant if not properly water cooled.  

I'm still running Sandy Bridge 2500k @4.4 and a p67 msi mobo, gtx 670 SC 4gb  and I can still run most games maxed out fairly smooth.  Just yesterday I was running Watchdogs @ (1080p Ultra) butter smooth.

I went from 1st original Iphone to 4s and will upgrade to 6s plus when it comes out.  I usually upgrade for the long haul.

was your PSU plugged to an UPS?  Also,  maybe you did something to your psu when you modded it.  That is why warranty gets voided when opened.
 
My psu is a HX850 pro and it's still going strong 4+ years of daily use.

this reminds of me of the tax scam I was exposed to a while ago.  It was this indian guy on the phone stating that my dad didn't pay a bunch of taxes and was going to get arrested for evasion...LOL!!  I did some googling around and found out it was a popular scam.  So! the next time they called,  I let them have it.  I guess this kind of scam works with old people that don't know any better.
