Just a thought, with all the PC game piracy confessions going on... You wonder if it's something to do with how the platform is dying on it's arse?

No idea what the new world is like but in the UK we had a vibrant game writing community back in the old 1980's to early 1990's days and it was piracy that killed it. Some of the most creative games ever created were made back then and it got to the stage were if you couldn't get money for your game in the first two days of release then you never would and more pirate copies would exist than legit ones.

Lead me onto "chipped" PSX consoles, I remember being told on an early internet forum that PSx's were crap because chipped machines that let you play copy games weren't that stable.

Erm......

What you want is the Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV pad and a decent emulator. It's like those days are back.

Rockstar are a capitalist company, if they can make more money doing something they will - they just get a better return for investing money in dev a different way.
The problem with PC gaming is that you're justa steam weekend sale away from devaluing a game completely.

Release on current consoles - make a butt ton of cash
Releast on PC and next gen consoles - make another butt ton of cash + multibuys from people who couldn't wait.
 
Its smart and logical.

Rockstar designed it for console because that's the most common platform that the game is played in and to be honest its the best platform to play games on. Ill take douchy console kids over pc elitists any day.
If you spent over 250 million on a game and you had the massive expectations that everyone has for gta you wouldn't design it first for pc then port it to console which is what your main playerbase has always been. Why give them a crappy experience? PC is the smaller audience.
Console is Rockstars style and its a good style to have. Every gta game since GTA 3 has been amazing and has been released on console first.
Mouse and keyboard is inferior to controller for gaming. Even if you argue it. Even playing gta 3 on my ipad feels more gaming oriented than a keyboard and mouse.

See, I just bought it from Amazon and there it wason the matt when I woke up this morning. I could also have bought it from my local Tesco....

I am infinitely amused by the console snobbery some PC gamers have. The idea that a game isn't worth their time if it's on a console ("why no halo ports and puuuullllleeeeeeeaaaaase can we get a version of GTA V? Please? I beg of you!"). All smacks of the old days of 12 year olds saying a game is crap just because it's on the Sega Mega Drive.

Well i'm looking at getting the 350D, which isn't that pricey to begin with, but if corsair makes a new matx case in the next year (which i doubt but) i'd cry
