Lmp reacted to BoostCrzy in Corsair AX1500i Power Supply
Buying this AX1500i for me was a fantasticly easy decision ..... This has the best voltage stabilisation at virtually any output. If you are into electronics or computing and want the best then this should be on your short list.... And probably at the top of the listing

Strangely enough I don't feel the urge to try it on one of my gtx 980's

Stop playing that game?
Obviously you have anger management issues if a game is provoking you that much, you should go see a phsychologist or a doctor...

Lmp reacted to DarthVader1022 in Best Bang for the buck monitors for enthusiasts
I not sure what your budget is on a monitor but I just watched a video yesterday that Linus did on the Acer Predator XB270HU 144Hz G-Sync Monitor you can see this video here on Vessel..
https://www.vessel.com/videos/aBRl_4ZS6
I just have to save the money for this as it will not be cheap especially if you want to run them in a dual setup.
Now the other monitor he did a review on was the LG 34UC97 34" Curved LCD Monitor which is another monitor which would be awesome to have..The only downside that I wish this monitor would have is a VESA mount so I could mount it on a stand or wall mount..

Lmp got a reaction from Smithy in Video Request: "CPU Lapping Guide"
I know that kustom pc here in the uk do a lapping kit with all several grades of sandpaper / wet & dry paper & a piece of glass so you can see your results easily.
Personally I think it's very expensive for wat it is but you can use it also as a guide on the bits your need.
My Sysyems idles at between 20/22 & 27 degrees dependant on room temp & fan speeds, so it's not something Im looking at right now (also reluctant to screw with a new (ish) 5820k as there almost full warranty left. I went with 2 420mm rads to control temps & run at low fan rpm instead.

Lmp reacted to KE2012 in FINAL DECISION: LAPTOP OR CARBIDE AIR 540!
I don't want to sound like a fanboy or anything, just for the love of all that's holy avoid dell consumer products. I know too many people who have had to return laptops aio and pc's by them. So if your still considering the above I would say the air.

Lmp got a reaction from BLCT in Is ASUS 5-way Optimization safe to use?
Well no relevance here at all, your comparing a 54w part to a 140w part, one with 2 cores the other with 6 & ht, there will be no way to compare like for like temps & overclocks
