Case upgrade. Is it worth it?

Dive5885

So the Cooler Master HAF XB caught my attention and I just want to get some opinions on the case.

I currently use a NZXT Tempest 410.

Would it be worth upgrading or just sticking with what I have now?

Thanks!

Hard to say... your PC will still be the same... no matter what case you have...do you NEED to change case? for more space? to add more components etc?

if its just for aesthetic reasons that is up to you

The HAF might cool better but probably wont effect much..

maybe spend your money on more important things, or save up for a big PC upgrade

I was just mainly looking for better cooling and more space.

then I am pretty sure the XB is smaller? with less space and worse cooling.... :P

Yes it's smaller but the 200mm fan sorta sold me on the case.

I was thinking it would pull more hot air out than my current setup with the NZXT

Personal preference honestly.

I'm in same position, i need better cooling, and a smaller case, that doesn't attract as much dust. Is the Phantom 530 a good case? yes, but terrible airflow and too big and attracts dust worst than a house built 100 years ago, thats my reasons for an upgrade to the Carbide Air 540. I reckon the Tempest look's alright, but i don't know what the cooling is like, whether it picks up dust or not, so that's what you should be thinking about, air flow, is it easy to clean, and whether you want your case to be the elephant in the room. And also, do you think you can make money off of your old case?

Not a massive fan (pun completely intended) of 200mm fans, generally they are lousy quality

Airflow in the Tempest is okay but getting a case with better air flow would help out a lot.

What I mean by "okay" Is that it gets the job done but can be better.

I don't know much about 200mm fans but when I looked at how much airflow they move I was impressed.

Yeah they can move a lot, MASSIVE blades and all, but not always the best constructed and not always quite

Although the pro is that you can run them at very low RPMs and still move lots of air

I would assume quality would depend on which manufacture you get.

The 200mm fan from Bitfenix looks like a solid fan.

yeah there definitely are some good ones, but often the ones included in cases are trash (not always true obviously) but there is a more limited choice

that said I on;u have like.. 2 case fans on my PC (and 2 rad fans) and it never breaks 50c

Yeah you are limited on what you can get for that size fan.

I manage to keep my 8350 around 52c - 54c when gaming.

The gpu doesn't even break 60c In certain games and in some the highest I've seen was 65c - 68c.

I guess you can say I have good airflow or I'm just overthinking about getting new case..

Lol

I don't have much to upgrade anymore to be honest.

I'm happy with the build and performance I'm getting.

Besides FC4 everything else runs perfect.

Not sure what else to get..
