  2. if you're turning your head, you're too close to the computer for the monitor size. Optimally your main monitor is slightly to the right or left, and the secondary monitor is the same size (not necessarily resolution) as the main monitor. Basically, 24" monitors are usually the ideal size for coding because you're only going to turn eyes more than your neck. When you get into larger monitors you end up having to move your head more, in which case you may as well just a use a 32" monitor and operate it at 4K than have two 1080p monitors. All a matter of preference though. Also consider a different orientation if you're taller, because if you can't look at the monitor without turning your neck, you might want to use a dual monitor arm setup and move the screens to where they are comfortable. I do all my stuff on the main monitor and put the passive stuff (eg looking up things, watching youtube, etc) on the secondary.
  3. He could also save the cooler and use the boxed one. At least for a start.
  4. I agree, 6000 MT/s is definitely recommended for this platform, and I had it originally but wanted to save the money instead to get it to $1000 even instead of going over: Memory: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($86.99 @ Amazon) Adds $9.01 to the build. At that point I'd also do this, just to get the best VfM: Storage: TEAMGROUP T-Force Cardea Z44Q 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($105.99 @ Amazon) This 2TB PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe is the same price as the original Gen3 M.2 NVMe drive choice. I would definitely spring for these parts and save up slightly more money if I had to, as I'd say it's definitely worth the performance increases that come along with it.
  5. Would have been on a sticker on the backside.
  6. Yes but that's quite normal in those games in those scenarios. As I've said, if that's bothering you a good memory OC or a X3D CPU will help in these cases.
  7. Maybe a bit distracting if it's not showing something that needs to be in the shot. They might be using a synced multi-camera setup, in which case the correct way of not making it distracting is to not pause between the cuts, but rather to switch the correct camera when his head turns while speaking. It's not something I'd advocate to change per se, but it's one of those things that makes it seem like the video gets padded by doing so.
  8. What's there to tell you about it? If they had been driving like a normal person, they hadn't been accelerating into that corner, seeing the animal yet continuing to throttle, eventually to a point of almost killing it with absolutely no other cars around. You brake and slow down, put your hand on the horn and beep boop a few times until it runs away. Doesn't require a genius, does it? Moving away from the topic of people who can't drive properly, we might upgrade from our A4 Quattro soon...
  9. Bios was the latest one, Motherboard was dead. CPU worked fine in other system
  10. There's way better Ram for not much more money (6000CL30 $87)
  11. Did you try another HDMI cable ? Just one stick of Ram ? maybe different slot (I don't like water cooling) Disconnect everything you don't need, only the OS drive. Try with the motherboard out of the case on cardboard and minimal installation.

Did you know that the LMG Community are current…

I wish Boinc was easier to set up. It's a bit of a pain compared to F@H
  13. This beverage also passes the vibe check:

I swear, it really tastes just like raspberry dark chocolate but in liquid H2O form!

P.S. That's my daily allowance of my millennial use of the word "vibe", I promise.

  14. the cooler is abit weak, but the air cooler experts should speak more on that. but bad mount is my feeling here
  15. I never said it's the law, I'm saying that just because you pay for a service doesn't entitle you to the entire service around the world. Specifically contract law can prevent you from doing it, and by doing so you can be in violations of the contract. Again, it goes back to what I said, paying for a service doesn't automatically entitle you do whatever you want. Again the rental car example, you aren't allowed to take it off-roading yet during that time you are in legal possession of the vehicle. Just because you buy a blu-ray doesn't give you for example the right to play it for public events to thousands of people [because the license doesn't cover that]. Or again, its like having a consumer grade internet and saying you are entitled to host a web-server because you are paying for the internet. And this is unironically why I miss Netflix having a monopoly...so many places saw how Netflix could make money and now it's a fragmented space where if you want the same content it will cost potentially a hundred a month to sign up to all the services that you once got for all on Netflix [and then worse the bidding wars that end up having the studios making the money instead of it ending up in the hands of those who worked on the movie]. Quickly searched, unless something has changed in the last 6 years in the law Netflix and the like would be exempt from this. It seems the law was there to essentially restrict the different regional issues where the service would effectively be the same but there are different rates. Copyrighted material was carved out as an exemption to this, as my assumption is they looked at the landscape and realized that they would be weakening copyright if they essentially allowed it [or rather the right to make money from copyrighted works]. The reason being like Leadeater had mentioned in regards to contracts being in place for the rights to the copyright in certain regions. An example of this would be a local TV show, lets say Corner Gas [I know Canadian but whatever]. Now it was made locally so the broadcaster CTV own the rights to it. Now they want to use it themselves so they own the digital rights to it as well. Now in America it's less popular, but they still license it out to local stations there [at a reduced rate]. They also license out the digital rights to it. With the region blocking thing though, they wouldn't be allowed to stop the digital market though, which means they would have to sell it for more [which they can't] or do it themselves [which the won't]. Which would mean less money all around for the producers of the show, and globally not having access to it. Now the above is a bit of a convoluted example, but I think it does highlight why copyright stuff was exempted, as in general it could wreck havoc on the business...and on top of that the current contracts in place would instantly make it is a liability to have it available [so you would see lots of contracts either rewritten or just sat on without airing to avoid being in breach of contract]

    There’s a decently cheap 2009 corsair Hx750 on…

Watching the world burn via self-righteous people is so much fun. Just tossing the match and watching as people duke it out is so amusing.
  17. I have recently started using a dual monitor setup, an LG 27GP83B-B and a Sceptre E248W. The issue I am having is that whenever I attempt to play a game like CS2 in fullscreen stretched resolution, it pushes everything on my second monitor out of view, and pushes what was on my first screen over to it. The only way to "fix" it is if i make my main monitor the exact resolution of the game, which is annoying to switch back and forth from. Attached are images of what I am talking about. Any help is appreciated! (Notes) - Main monitor is in 2560x1440 - Second Monitor is vertical and 1920x1080 - Im trying to play cs2 in 4:3 and 1280x960
  18. This is really sad news. Some years back I worked down the hall from Arkane Austin, and at the time it seemed like a serious but upbeat place from what I could tell. They were just getting wrapped-up on Dishonored at the time so it was a high point for them. A lot of people were skeptical about Microsoft acquiring ZeniMax, and I was hoping the process would be smooth as I just bought a Series X and am a big Fallout nerd, but this is going very poorly for a lot of studios.
  19. use a wifi cable now. check in your uefi and see if it was disabled. windows now automatically updates the motherboard firmware so maybe a firmware update disabled it on accident or something. check your version number and compare it with the manufacturer website and see if it was released/installed recently. you may have to roll back to a previous version if this is the case and it isnt simply disabled

  21. Should I upgrade to the RTX 4090 now or wait for the RTX 42090 Ti Super XTX in 2 aeons?

  22. Don't blame me that you are incompetent enough to read the razer stuff. Based on your arguments for dbrand here, I could clearly make the same case for Razer (actually more so in that technically what was stated at least in the articles I've seen was correct). N95 is a specification, Razer from at least what I saw didn't actually say the masks were N95 rated only the filters used were N95 grade filters. So it's not actually that far off, razer never said it was medically certified. Congratulations, you are an idiot for thinking everyone is siding with you. You are making up only half. Simple fact is you can't justify WHERE they state it's no hydro-dipped...because you would have to be completely stupid to argue that there shouldn't be some form of disclosure WHEN their product is called hydrodip and they stated something in accordance to the procedure of hydrodipping.. You might be okay letting a company get a free pass, but I'm not especially one that is tone deaf to their racist comment and actively tries violating NDA's. dbrand has shown they will do pretty much anything if it sells.

    37531 Cinebench R23 7950x3D 🙂

There's a guy on HWBot who did 43,568 on water with the 7950X, and another guy who did 46,733 on water with the 14900KS. Monster scores!
  24. Well, I just liked the Lian Li ones. I don't really have any strict preferences. If I like the way it looks, I'll go for it, so if you have any suggestions, I'm open to that
  25. Oh yeah they were so nice about the bundle! Can't believe I got all that for $240. I love your specs btw. I've been a CRT evangelist for so long.
