The easy option for a computer desk.

ttam

Damn I couldn't pass it up. I even bought 2 wall mount shelves for $3 bucks a piece!!!

I'll post some pics of my setup when I get it here. Ikea said it should be here by the 4th or 5th of march no speedy shipping options.

$200 shipping, what a joke. And I live no where near an ikea store, so this is not an option for me. Shame cuz the desk looks like what I would need

The current cheap desk feet are really wiggly, is there anything possible to fix this?

cool room, but how does it work with black desk, regarding gunk and dust. do you see it a lot? and does it require a lot of cleaning?

If I had the space I would go with that. But I don't.

I recently built a workshop desk in my basement. I had a really ghetto IKEA desk laying around, decked out with holes, cut, and an orange spray paint finish. Long story short, I bought a long $25 birchwood panel, used a drill and short screws and screwed on the IKEA table legs. I'm thinking a about adding a plywood panel above so I don't mess up the birchwood and make it look ghetto. Anyways, pic related.

Tighten the screws

Even more? I'll try but they are so tight already. Might actually break the tabletop.

But thanks.

Can you feel the top of the leg at the table moving? If you can, tighten it. If not, then don't.

It's not, it's just wiggly and I've been adjusting the height circles for ages. mmh

Just bought one of these desks today (Black Adils legs and small white linmon tabletop) and it only cost $26CAD! The desk is a little wobbly and too high for my chair but I'll get a new one soon. I'm so glad I saw this topic before I went desk shopping!

Just bought a 47 inch table with adjustable legs.

The desk is pretty wobbly. It's fine while typing but it will move slightly if I jerk my mouse, also moving will make it wobble. The screws are tightened all the way, the legs aren't moving, it's just Ikea being Ikea.

Overall a pretty nice desk though. The wobbly is reduced with more weight on the desk.

If you could explain how that corner was done that'd be great.

The white stand on the far left side of the picture supports the far right side of the desk which is against the wall. The metal leg is the support for the other desk piece. It's 3 different desk pieces placed edge to edge.

Wow.. I literally forgot to post this for just over 2 hours. :-/

Just came across this thread from another.  Tagging to read later.  I'm redoing my office and looking for new desks. This seems like a nice guide to do it for cheap!

All the legs & desks will align up so you don't need anything special for them. Pick the table top and the legs/stand/trestle that you want

Isn't this kind of table really shaky or did you screw it to the wall or some other sneaky little trick?
