At what angle do you view your monitor when gaming?

I've been watching some videos of people playing at LANs and I have realised that the angle of the monitors are not perpendicular to their sight-line.

 

It seems logical to me that it would be perpendicular because that's how the most of the screen is filling your peripheral vision and the monitor becomes pretty much a perfect rectangle rather than trapezoid like this . I then realised that it's the same with me and that's how I view my monitor, tried it the other way for a few mins but found it weird.

 

What angle do you guys use your monitor and what is your opinion on it being perfectly perpendicular or does it just not matter at all.

Possibly a bit of my OCD making me interested in am I doing it completely wrong but nonetheless want to hear from you guys

That's probably because many of these cheap monitors have no height adjustment at all

No, as in I'm looking at it from slightly above. So should the monitor angle be set up straight up or at an angle to make it perpendicular to sight-lines?

Straight on at a height at where my eyes are at around 2/3 up the screen.

Technically your eyes should be straight on to the top bezel of the monitor.

 

 

But whatever is more comfortable is better I'd say, as long as it causes you no discomfort.
