Still a thing?

Is it even worth it these days? Besides testing your luck on which coin is going to be the next big thing?

What exactly is folding, I have yet to grasp the concept. Same thing as mining but for science? Lol. What do I get out of it? A power bill?

if you do it for evga you get evga bucks which you can use to buy evga stuff. Otherwise yea. You do it for science and for some prick to patent a medicine and sell it for obscene amounts cuz capitalism. And its not mining for science its simulating the folding of protiens to figure how they work which may allow us to make medicines that target certain ones and stuff like that.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

So if I'm using 2 GTX 980ti's, how well will they perform for this? Will it be maxing my gpu's or cpu like mining does or? I don't really understand what resources on my computer it's using.

Folding, depending on the setting, will max out everything :P (Light - 40% CPU, Medium, 60% CPU 100% GPU I think, Full - 100%CPU 100%GPU)

it will show 100% usage but wont actully use 100% if you know what i mean, what i do is set my max temp for something like 65 and lower my power limit a bit and let it go, it will say 100% usage but wont be pushing the card as hard as mining,

its like say mining is a stress test and folding is a game load, both will show 100% usage but the game wont push the card to its limits constantly
