It's ugly as fuck, just put it in the lower PCIe slot man. :D

Well the 960 is officially pointless. The 290 is constantly hitting the 200 mark.

Exactly! This card is perfect for gaming rigs under 700 euro's/750 USD/ 600 pounds

This is true, heavily resembles puke. But otherwise if you don't care about cosmetics it's not bad.

I feel like such a dummy for buying a 760 for $190 in December and considering it a great deal on what was at the time a $220 card.. Only 6 months later and for the same price I can get the 290 that smacks it around - except for acoustics where the 290 is about as good as Linus's Lambo. Although I do enjoy the features you can only get through a green team card - such as the ability to stream with a shield - it could possibly not be worth it but it might be.

I don't play many AAA titles and if I do it's very rare so turning the settings to medium really isn't a huge deal to me. I'm still happy with my 760.

This deal smacks green around like it's his bitch. I don't use any features like shadowplay or nvidia shield, so for me it doesn't matter :)

I just "Fixed" my 290 noise output with a Kraken G10, fun little project but it wouldn't make as much sense to buy a 290 planning to do a $100 mod haha. Folding doesn't like sleeve bearings apparantly though so I think the mod was practical for me, and I can use the supplies again for my next GPU if the AIO is still working well.

Considering even a GTX 980 and R9 390X can only do around 20% better (less or more depending on binning), I seriously would not consider spending more money until I hit the 980ti. It just doesn't make sense. The R9 290 is a ridiculously good card that has only gotten better since release with new driver updates. It's now basically on par with the 970 (depending on specifics and binning). It's pretty ridiculous.

I actually have one of these! Its a great card and the manufacturer is actually good also! But yah as like EVERYONE has been saying the color is.... well not good lol. But that part of the cooler is removable and it takes paint nicely. I painted mine with blue Plastidip and it looks NICE!

Be careful. I bought that card a few months ago for a customer. It was an open box and it caught fire no joke. It was sold as new however.

I think thats a Newegg thing. There notorious reselling defective/used/returned parts as new items. Ive never had an issue with this card works perfectly. It never gets above 70c for me.

That's why I mentioned open box.  Didn't want to trash the card itself.  It didn't run hot on the core, the vrm smoldered and caught fire.
