Massively. It is near impossible for a 4790k to bottleneck any current GPU config tho.

Definately m8, consider upgrading to lga 2011 ASAP.

I just upgraded from a amd athalon x4 760k  to a i7 4790k cause gaming preformance+ video editing ect

No because bottleneck will mean that its holding back some component and your gpu will not slow your cpu down tho in some cases it will

I was agreeing with your entire post until that last bit..

Pretty sure it wont at all in any situation.

Upgrading a CPU to a more powerful one won't make the GPU slow the new CPU down.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

it wont hold your cpu back but it will be your limiting factor in games

Yes, you have a High end processor and a medium end graphics card. I would recommend a GTX 770, GTX 970 or a GTX 980
