GTA V - 780 Ti Owners

Avcn42

I just wanted to know on which settings and what kind of frame rate you guys are getting with this card, because mine is "only" loading it up to 90% and I can't "push it harder". I'm running at 36 FPS (v-sync on half. It is the best I can get this game to look with a stable performance no matter what scene is being rendered) with everything maxed out with the exception of grass (very high), AA (4XMSAA) and in the advanced settings I got both sliders at 50%, nothing else there is enabled. I'm not sure if this performance is what I should expect...I'm about 25 hours into the game, and I've been messing around ever since I got it. Thanks, guys

PC: 5600x @ 4.85GHz // RTX 3080 Eagle OC // 16GB Trident Z Neo  // Corsair RM750X // MSI B550M Mortar Wi-Fi // Noctua NH-D15S // Cooler Master NR400 // Samsung 50QN90A // Logitech G305 // Corsair K65 // Corsair Virtuoso //

turn-off vsync. believe me v-sync is terrible and will make your game better if you turn it off

vsync has 0 affect on performance (well, caps it at the monitor's refresh rate, but won't decrease performance).

it will prevent stuttering, at the cost of some input lag.

Well if you want more performance turn vsync on full or off?

Please, read the entire thing, I'm sure you'll understand...I got it at half because if I use no vsync or full vsync, I can't get past ~45. It's a weird solution, I know, but it's what I've got going on for now.

@ShadowCaptain

He runs it 1440p no AA with most things ultra I think

1080p, everything is in my signature.

when i play l4d2 sometimes, the game constantly stutters with vsync on than with vsync off.

I did, you made no mention of that happening.

Mine runs with everything pretty muched maxed out, 90-100% GPU usage with 60+ FPS in the city and 50+ in grassy areas.

Ok, I'm not sure if I got this clear enough... I just posted the settings, and explained them, that I'm using for additional information. What I really want to know is, am I getting the "correct" performance with my PC? I wanted 780 Ti owners to help me out and say which settings they are using and what kind of performance they're getting out of it.

Could you tell me all your settings so I could try it out? My GPU usage doesn't go above 91% no matter what. In grassy areas, at day time, if I have it maxed out, I get as low as 20 fps.

4.MSAA is REALLY demanding - turn it to 2x (or just off) and you can run the game on all very high 60fps vsync on full - in advanced settings - turn it all OFF - they are not even noticable effects and are only for ridiculously high end set ups

I run at 1440p very high 2xmsaa at 60fps easily on my 780ti

Thanks for the feedback...looks like I won't have the luxury of using msaa...too bad, looks pretty good.

you are only playing at 1080p, I have been playing with 2xmsaa on mine at 1440p, dont see why you should have any different experience

try turning some other settings down (check the nvidia guide, some settings make very little visual difference)

I'm still aiming gta V till now.

In many youtube reviews, i found something strange about AA setting

There are FXAA and MSAA. They can be turned on together

How does it works?

Which setting do u prefer?

you can only turn on FXAA once you turn on MSAA , ideally its best to have both

if you read the nvidia gta v breakdown it explains it all fully
