[FAKE] AMD Radeon R9 300 Series 3DMark 11 Extreme Score Revealed

(R9 300 Series):

For comparison, a 290X scores between X4693-X5035, this scores X8121, so over a 50% performance increase

 

 

(Stock GTX 980):

Scores between a X5652-X5808 so this R9 300 series is about 40% or more faster than a 980 (or nearly as fast as a Titan-Z). 

 

 

Whether this is the 380x or 390(x), nobody knows, but if this is real based on performance it would be the equivalent of a 1750MHz (boost) Overclocked GTX 980 so probably the 390(x):

Chiphell is usually pretty good with their leaks, they aren't as iffy as some other sources. A lot of good leaks came from them, however, considering the performance it gets in 3DMark 11 Extreme, I would have to say this is a 390(x) sample. I cannot imagine with this performance it being the 380x which is suppose to compete with the 980. Also, if it is the 380x then that means NVIDIA finally has some serious competition.

If it's a 380x then thats cool, doubt it would be a 390x, probably is a 390 non x. then a 390x is just higher then that like last year.

Then awesome for amd, known by their price/performance attitude, i guess the 390x will be priced around the same as a 980, the 390 between a 970 and a 980 and the 380x around the same as a 970. If it's goign to be like this, and this benchmark is from a 390, then amd will crush nvidia since there will be no point in picking up a gtx 9xx

What if it is a 370? Hey, one can dream.. or something. If it is a 390x or 390 though, AMD failed super hard.

I am actually interested in a 380X. It will be a nice upgrade if i can sell my GTX 670.

thats a %46 overclock on that 980, if a stock clocked 390x is the same then that is amazing. that would be faster than a 980ti.

 

thats the fastest 980 on hardware bot.....

It's a watercooled GTX 980 @ 1750MHz... not just any "overclocked" GTX 980. #2 Score in the world actually for 3DMark 11 Extreme.

The graphics score is higher on the 300 series than the 980.

This is going to get interesting.

I heard AMD was doing a 3D memory or chip which would make it stupid fast. By the looks of it, they don't know what they are doing or it isn't that great of an improvement. Plus that is a whole new way to have to cool it.

It's a watercooled GTX 980 @ 1750MHz... not just any "overclocked" GTX 980. #2 Score in the world actually for 3DMark 11 Extreme.

I saw that and I would be fine if a stock 390x or slightly overclocked 390x to be on pair with the best 980 on the planet.

Yeah that is pretty insane. My only concern is that the mythical 390x is supposed to be AMD's answer to the mythical big daddy Maxwell GPU, which I'm sure will smoke this record breaking 980.  I had imagined the 380x to beat the 980 my a small amount, but I guess we'll know soon enough.

I don't follow this logic, this card scores an X8121 a 780 Ti and an R9 290x score around X5000-X5130 do you realize how fast that makes this card? You really don't expect the 380X to be over 50% faster than a 290x do you?

 

I heard AMD was doing a 3D memory or chip which would make it stupid fast. By the looks of it, they don't know what they are doing or it isn't that great of an improvement. Plus that is a whole new way to have to cool it.

Probably a 390x as its performance a slightly better than a gtx 980. For you guys thinking that it could be a 380/x, how foolish are you, do you really think a card that's faster than a gtx 980 would be under 400 dollars.

Yeah because the R9 290/X never happened. Or the 7970. Or the 6970... Or the *insert AMD flagship here*. I doubt the R9 380X will be less than $400 on release given that it will be a flagship card at the time.

 

"Slightly better" Kek..... You do realise the card it is compared against is the second FASTEST 980 IN THE WORLD? The fastest 780 in the world absolutely pounded the (stock) 780Ti into the dust, I am pretty sure this specific 980 is faster than a (stock) 980Ti will be.

 

Anyone with a brain can see that AMD won't release their top card Right away to compete with the 970/908.

Purely so when nvidia release their 980TI, AMD can fight back and release their flagship.

So IF TRUE, this cards stock speed matches up to one of the most heavily over clocked 980s in the world. Who cares about 300w tdp now? :D
