Was looking on Reddit, and found this, a PC (Using Intel NUC tech), about the size of the palm of your hand. It will come in two flavours (6 different coloured translucent cases as well), An i3 or i5 processor, 8-16gb ram, 240-480GB SSD, along with most of the common features in computers today.  It will ship with windows 8.1, mini-HDMI to HDMI cable, and the power cable.
They raised 35k out of their 30k Goal already.

The initial shipments will be going out by New Years

Wasn't this already brought up in another thread?

I like the idea, but I do appreciate having more power under the hood.

So, they are selling a fluorescent case for a NUC essentially?

Or, I could just get this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856102055&cm_re=nuc_i5-_-56-102-055-_-Product Which is essentially what this kickstarter is selling.

Add in Ram and SSD for $150 and voila.

Why do we need this? The Actual NUC  is cheaper ... I mean I commend their efforts but the price is a wee bit to high to swallow.

Kickstarter. I mean, you could go buy a NUC for cheaper, but then you're supporting intel. It's much smarter to buy it from this company that just put up their kickstarter. You'll totally get your product (maybe) sometime after December and not have a warranty.

Lol, get a nuc, you get a warranty and you can have it a lot sooner.

Haha yea I understand trying to support an aspiring campaign but it just isn't worth it all. If you are incapable or requesting "reasonable" amount of money for your kickstarter product you're better off going on Shark Tank or looking for investors.

Personally I am currently using the Amazon Fire TV as an HTPC for media streaming and it works perfect. You can sideload any app than isn't "officially" supported and it suppports wireless logitech mouse/kb with the wireless dongle plugged in with no issues/ needing driver support.

I would love to get one of these to have a Leauge of Legends mobile pc but shit, for that price I'll just get the Gigabyte brix with the 760 that overheats. I thought about getting amazon fire tv but I rarely use my tv. I have a raspberry pi running xbmc that works pretty well. I want to get an apple tv after playing with one a friend owns. Streaming stuff from your phone/ipad is so simple and quick. Much better than my chromecast.

Yea I find the Fire TV to be a better solution personally since it's more of a "stand-alone" device rather than it having to be tied to your phone if you want to use it. The youtube app on it supports TV connect exactly like the chromecast, and the Twitch app is really good too.

So it's all solid state and uses presumably a custom mobo? Do I trust some kids to make a reliable motherboard? seems more expensive than the new mac mini as well
