I call them flash drives/ usb stick

Flash because that is what it is. I have no idea where these other terms came from but most don't even make sense.

My flash drive's name is 'Zippy' as I call them zip drives.

USB drive, USB key, USB stick, flash drive. I don't really care, I call them whatever pops into my head. Though if it's an external hard drive (and not a little USB flash drive) I call it an external drive.

Flash drive, Jump drive, memory stick, that little f**ker, External Hard drive. I usually try and judge what the person I am talking to will understand, as for myself I don't have a predefined go to name.

USB stick for sticks and memory card for flash cards. Oh, and external drive for HDDs. Or in Finnish tikku (stick) or ulkone (slang for external).

I call it a USB Key all the time but only do so out of frustration in not remembering what else to call it. It is stupid to call it a USB Key cuz it has nothing to do with keys, locks ...DOH
