Ultra silent gaming PC?

Hi all ! 

I have a client who needs a super silent PC , so I managed the airflow in case very well + it is quite silent.

 

So....ofc I can build a gaming rig in a sec, but this is different.. He needs a super silent pc, So, which setup should i use? AM1 25W CPUs, or J1900 or j1800? For the GPU somehow I manage to find Power Color HD7850 SCS3 Silent GPU ( 1GB GDD5/256 Bit) for a fair price.

 

 Main activities on this PC will be : League of legends, Dota 2 , Smite and Wow, Internet, Office , etc.

 

Curent setup is:

 

Mobo: ????

 

CPU: ?????

 

CASE : Thermaltake V3 Black edition + LC POWER SilentGiant 600W

 

RAM : 8 GB HyperX fury blue 1600MHz

 

HDD : Seagate Barracuda 1TB Sata lll

 

GPU : HD7850 SCS3 Silent

AM1 platform supports only PCI-E 2.0 x4 speed slot.. even if there is x16 slot it wont run faster than x4 slot so AMD 7850 will be most likely bottlenecked by PCI-E. (Max GTX 750 ti / R7 265 is recommended fot this board).

What is the budget?

Try to look on something like Athlon 760k or 860k and FM2+ board

I would get a pentium anniversary. Intel CPUs run cool, so you can put a big heatsink like a NH-D14 with no fans to passively cool it.

Linus has a passive heatsink cooler on his wife's PC.

i found that getting a case where the air flow is directed 1 way. front to back. front to top. ect and the the norm low rpm fans and vibration proof stuff. consider water cooling. cuz gpu, and cpu fans are SOOOOOO LOUD

Go for Intel, they run cooler. And get some big heatsink, like the NH-D15 and use it passively. Use Noctua fans, they're known for silent operation. Try to go for a full SSD setup, hard drives make some noise when spinning up. Samsung has a 1TB SSD. For a case, maybe try the NZXT H440, it's known to make PCs pretty silent.
