So I was racing in GTAO to unlock turbo for all my cars and I only needed to win one more race but I finished second 3 seconds behind first but thanks to my internet derping (prolly from 3ft of snow outside :S) it said I had come in first and turbo unlocked :DD

When playing any online fps.

My skillz are so amazing that I have to seek out servers that are at least 80ms away in terms of latency; just to level the playing field. Or else it's not fair on the other players. The added 80ms lag helps to cancel out my jedi reflexes.

I seem to recall people playing xbox would put a switch in the cat5 cable to create lag and cheat in games

they used dimmer switches :P

I always get screwed when lag sets in.

My character dies 3 times before finally respawning and when I do it happens minutes later.

Lag always screws me, and not in the good way.

You can always boost for unlocks in GTAO, just race with a friend. BTW, if you just do super cars you should get all unlocks.

In planetside 2 back in beta (not sure if this still works) my friend cut off his internet connection while playing, killed people while offline, reconnected, then it updated and killed them. Kills arent client-side and just check back with the server lol

Same.

So many people rage when other people teleport across the screen but they fail to realize they can't see anything on their end.

I remember a while ago when playing MW2 I was stabbed, there was then a lag spike and I cam back to life and shot the guy. Found it quite amusing at the time.

Yup people use to use them back on the ps2 with socom 2 and 3. I was a pretty hard core player then, I remember one time it was a clan battle and 6 of their guys was using them. Me and my best clan mate owned them all, had a 6 k/d and won the tournament while they were using their lag switches. They didn't stick around to talk smack after lol
