Ryzen 7 1700X or Ryzen 5 2600X?

IAmAndre

Hi,

So my Black Friday is about to end before it's started. I was about to order my new build with a Ryzen 5 2600X, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 3600Mhz and a B450m motherboard. But now I can see that for the exact same price I can replace my Ryzen 5 with Wraith Spire cooler with a Ryzen 7 1700X and a $20-30 aftermarket cooler. What should I go for, considering that I'll be using this for video editing (After Effects and Premiere) and software development?

Thanks

Get the 1700x in that case. You can always try to OC it a bit.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Actually I don't want to overclock, and that's why I wanted to pick an X version. And the 2600X is out of stock now. I'll place the order quickly.
