32gb ram worth it?

hello so i currently have 16 of ddr4 ram and my buddy is parting his pc and is selling me his ram 16gb ddr4 for 80cad about 60usd it is the sam exact ram but his is 2800mhz and mine is 2400mhz is it worth it i really only play games no editing but it sounds like a good deal for me another thing while it cause any issues that his ram is 2800mhz and mine is 2400mhz so i will have a total of 32gb of ram

It should run fine at 2400mhz.

That's a good price, definitely buy it.

I mean this is good. If you want newer stuff ddr4 prices just dropped like 25-30% so I would buy before it goes up. I want to return all my ram I just bought now lol I paid $110 for 8gb. Now it is like $60.

as others have said you can always sell it. 

 

as for usecases, just for games i doubt you'll need it, unless you are like me and have like 10 other things including a chrome window with 30+ tabs and a VM open in the background while you play ram hungry games.

one advantage to it is some programs you've used and then closed and open again will load faster because they'll be loaded in ram.

don't buy anything you don't need. It's a really good price and it will work witht the rest of your RAM but is 80 cad worth it for something that you don't really need?
