Best All-Round Use Budget Home Theater Display

Welcome to the Home Theater Debate

Featuring HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WGC (Wide Color Gamut)

60Hz minimum

(higher refresh rate is awesome, but not required in this specific debate)

When Size is not an issue

(paper thin or bulky as a 45in CRT)

32in Minimum

(32in or 32ft, whatever you can find)

Only focus is the best panel/projector & screen/some sort of magical video display device

If you can save some bucks by dodging "Smart" functions or features that do not effect the display quality, do it

What is the best All-Round Use Budget Top Quality Home Theater Display

A perfect example is Linus's new video 'The TV for the 1%'

Throughout the video he points out other MUCH cheaper versions that use the same panel.

So if we tried to find what the top 15 or so in the world displays are... What is the cheapest version of that exact display technology?

I half expect the answer to be some manner of purchasing the bare panel itself and 3D printing or good o'll DIY an enclosure to hold it.

A flat screen as the curved ones suck at angles.

A diplay that is highly visable at all angles.

A screen that "fits" the space.

Also the quality of the product and how long it lasts.

All good things, but I'm more of looking for an actual product.
Like suggesting the LG 2018 OLED55C8PUA mentioned in Linus's video (I'm not saying it is the best option, just showing an example)

I do plan to likely buy one of the top contenders in this debate. I've got a 15x10ft wall to put it on. Going full dark for a projector is possible too.

This is why I don't want to limit creativity, but I'm actually looking for what the best product on the market is for my: I'm young and don't have a stable income budget.

First off, what is your budget in this "budget" tv you're looking for?

I own the 65" LG C7 OLED. The OLED's are, in my humble opinion, the best thing going right now as far as technology. The QLED's from Samsung look very beautiful, however they don't achieve the black levels that OLED does. So if you're considering doing this in a dark room, OLED wins.

60 hz minimum? That's every tv on the market. You can't get OLED in anything under 55". I'm not sure of the question your asking because you're talking about 60hz 32 inch tv's then talking about oled?

If your budget is $500 get a TCL. If it's $2500, get OLED.
