My official job title is "Junior Computer Technician", but I'm a Systems Administrator and Desktop Support/Help Desk technician.

 

I support all aspects of IT for a Public Library in a medium sized city (~130,000 population). Primarily that's supporting staff and public-use workstations, installing new equipment, and maintaining the server and back end infrastructure.

 

I'm part of a 3 man team, one "Senior" computer technician (He's the IT guy that's been working here 20 years), and another Jr Technician that we hired 2 years ago. We also currently have an intern, but he's only under contract as we cannot afford to hire another permanent employee.
