Not counting rebates this is the 400 dollar PC. (Well 404 dollars and eight cents!)

 

I thought about a GTX 1050 but I'm going with the RX 560 to stick to almost 400 even

CPU I like the sound of but the storage was, fine, this is just a temporary test computer, no need for big SSD or HDD

this is what I came up with, but it's a little outside budget and on intergrated gpu

Cardboard box is a really good and enviromentally friendly box.

 

Its also super cheap ("free").

 

Its yruly the best you can get.

 

Also the build comes with a game so yiu can max out the SSD

you know what is a little less cheap? buying a used case that can fit all parts. if you're really thinking that way

You could get onto current gen hardware. You said you didn't need a large SSD or HDD but if you change the 250gb to a 500gb you're just 12 dolla' over.

Go for a Ryzen APU like the 2200G or 2400G and don't buy a video card, since you're not playing triple AAA titles and if you are it's at low settings.

 

Or change the processor to the 200GE that some folks have suggested.  The one you want is an older architecture that was before the current Ryzen ones.
