Asrock ab350 pro4 Ram overclocking

I can’t overclock my ram more than 2666mhz ,but my kit is rated for 3000mhz and if I go beyond 2666 my pc would go through 3 post cycles and turn it back down to 2133 MHz 

these are my system specs

ryzen 1600 

corsair vengeance lpx 8gb 3000mhz Ram 

gtx 1050ti 

coolermast mwe 450w psu

mobo:asrock ab350 pro4

did you enable XMP or DOCP?

First thing to do is make sure you're running the very latest BIOS. And when you say it is in your 3rd slot, are you saying you only have 1 stick?

1. Update BIOS

2. If that doesn't do anything (it should), then manually overclock your RAM. There are some good guides on the forum; I recommend the one by MageTank:

You can probably only worry about frequency and primary timings.

Yes, I have 9 monitors.

Other: Added 3x Noctua NF-F12 intake, 2x Noctua NF-A8 exhaust, Inatek 5 port USB 3.0 expansion card with usb 3.0 front panel header

Details: 12GB ram, GTX 1080, USB card passed through to windows 10 VM. VM's OS drive is the SATA SSD. Rest of resources are for Plex, Duplicati, Spaghettidetective, Nextcloud, and game servers.
