They work, but getting updates working is a right pain in the @ss. At least from my usage.

I like how Sony doesnt want to support cross-platform to "ensure the best experience for it's customers" and yet they are always the ones getting rekt. Xbox Live has been hacked and had problems but sony just gets bent over year after year. This is some apple tier shit, literally. Like when sending that tamil character to an iphone would fuck it up. And that was like the second or third time for apple.

That is intentional and done by MS not the hardware. I have updates turned off anyway since 2016 so no issues there in my case.

Had to double check my message settings, and sure enough I'm good.

 

I only play exclusives and other single player games on PS4 because I'm terribad with controllers in multiplayer FPS games. So because of that I don't care about PSN friends or messages. 

 

Tried Fortnite for the giggles on PS4 a few months ago and got stomped within 2 minutes of starting a match because I can't aim.

it's hard for someone used to mouse and keyboard, that's for sure, especially on the ps4 controller, i feel the xbox is a little better.

I haven't played a competitive multiplayer FPS game on a console since COD MW2. So yes, hard is an understatement.
