Wait for 3080ti and Intel 10th gen?

Skyrux

Should I wait for the newer models or should I just buy something now? I wanna build a computer next year when I go to Japan for 6 months and wondered if it would be worth it to wait for some parts that MAY come out. The reason why I'm not not do anything right now is my lack of time, I work 9 hours a day and spend the rest of my time with family.

I was wondering when the first thread about this would pop up...

Don't bother waiting, the improvements will be nowhere near worth it, especially with how much Intel have been struggling with shrinking their nodes, i'll be surprised if they even manage it in the next year or two honestly.

If your trying to build a gaming PC you wouldn't even need the power of the 2080ti let alone a 3080ti, a 1080ti or 1080 will last for quite a while when it comes to FPS.
