"Vintage" Computer Thread

This is my first computer. Still works just as well as it did in 98 or 99 or whenever I got it. I got it dual booting DOS 6.22 and Windows 98SE

I've upgraded it a few times over the yeards. right now it has:

 

Pentium MMX 200mhz

96MB  60ns EDO RAM

S3 ViRGE 2mb video adapter

AOpen AP5VM motherboard

ISA NIC

Sound Blaster AWE64

3GB Maxtor HDD

8GB Quantum Bigfoot HDD

2x 1.44MB 3 1/2" floppies, only one connected though, my old FDD cable busted and I could only scrounge up a single drive cable

TEAC CD-ROM

 

It used to have a low end cruddy yamaha xwave card, so that got upgraded. Also used to have only 64mb of ram.

 

I use it the most out of all my old computers. Its the best all around computer for DOS gaming that I have, it will run Quake, Descent and any really heavy DOS game nicely and most other DOS games work. Also it runs a fair bit of Win98se games. I also sort am attached to this thing, being my first ever computer. I neeeeeed to get a VooDoo for this machine though.

 

Also, there's my Model M too.

 

These graphics on the screen actually look really good! What game is that?

4.3 Thread Necroing

Thread necroing consists of reviving a previously resolved, settled, or "dead" thread after a prolonged period of time by the OP with the intention of bumping the thread to the top of the board. Threads with an activity gap of 1 month or greater that are brought back to the front page is considered "thread necroing". A shorter duration may be considered when dealing with situations like previously resolved threads being reposted or simply for the purpose of bumping it to the front page. Build logs are exempt from this rule.

I have a crap ton of floppies and I also have a bunch of old hard drives.

 

I think I have a samsung one that is like 500 mb or something, as well as a 40 gig one and a 6 or 8 gig one. 

 

I also have a load of old ram sticks, tv tuner cards, and 2 old GPU's from around 2001-2004.

Does the computer have to be inside its case still? And do I need to have the ISA slots configured correctly? I'm still sorting them out with my old (and originally quite expensive) 386DX 40 rig.
