rx580 or gtx 1060

Im planning to build a pc by christmas and im wondering whether to get a rx 580 or a 1060. My budget is at around £500-£600 and i was thinking of getting a r3 1300x. This pc is for some gaming and productivity. What would you reccomend?

Well, he has a point. A whole ton of people do ask this question, and really, it comes down to 'what does OP play and do?'

I would say the rx580, so you can have fully amd pc.

But if you dont care about that, just buy whichever is cheaper.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

If we're talking RX 580 4/8GB vs GTX 1060 6GB, I'll tell you to just get the cheaper card. Unless you have Freesync monitor, so RX 580 is more valuable.

If we're talking RX 580 vs 1060 3GB, I'll tell you that 1060 3GB is only as good (if not inferior) than the RX 570, which means it has to be noticeably cheaper to be worth considering.

For a budget build it's fine

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

difference between 1300X and 1600 is $21 on pcpartpicker, getting 4 threads instead of 12 while saving 20 bucks cant be worth it

Well buying a used ryzen 3 is a different story entirely. Ideally OP takes that route
