Using good DAC for Monitor Built-in Speakers

_Hustler_One_

I have a monitor which has built-in speakers on it.

I'm wondering to use a good DAC to make better sound although it's a built-in speakers. Is it worth it or just a waste?

My system specs:

Does the audio run over the monitor cable or an analog input?

If its the former there is nothing you can do, the DAC is built-in to the monitor.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

Honestly getting some separate speakers and using that instead of buying a DAC will most certainly produce a way better sound

I'm using Display Port cable from VGA card to monitor, so the audio will be there also.. If the DAC is worth it, how to connect it to my monitor without conflict with the DP?

You can't.

Also, if you could, it would not be worth it.
