The bigger the capacity, the faster the disk usually. My old 1tb hdd was 100mb/s, then i got a 4tb drive, that was 150mb/s, and now my current 8tb hdd is 250mb/s, so pretty good.

I would hope that the 14tb hdd is 300-350mb/s.

I hope so, although these helium drives compensate the lack of data density of the discs with... well... more discs, which doesn't really benefit speed much. Either way, even at 300MB/s filling the hdd becomes a large time investment.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I'd consider it, but I would need two, as I would want an exact backup. I'm probably safer with 8TB to 10TB. I started with a 4TB drive and a second for backup but have since outgrown those so things are not mirrored as I'd like them to be. This would be a start but is rather large and expensive.
