Have a question about a VPS.

Was not sure were to put this and sorry if it is the wrong place.

 

Ok my friend is renting a VPS, and he currently runs a game server off of it.

 

Well he is thinking of expanding into other games and I was wondering if i listed the specs,would you guys be able to tell me if we would be able to run any other game servers off of his VPS?

 

His VPS specs are:

10 cores

10GB of RAM

1GB Connection

No Bandwith Cap

 

 

I know it somewhat has to do with what is being run on the server,so to let you know the current game server he is running is a FiveM server.

 

I'm not sure what other games he wants to do yet.

How much ram does it need to run other games?

More that 10GB.

 

FiveM will take up a lot of that 10GB.

A person I know IRL runs a Minecraft game server out of his house on a gigabit connection and he's told me that reliability was an issue until he doubled his RAM from 16GB to 32GB. His server hosts 16 players max. I trust his experience as he's been the admin of his own game servers for nearly a decade now.

 

More intensive games will require more memory and other resources obviously.

Your gonna need more RAM
