IMO buy now. There's no guarantee that 2060 wont have higher MSRP, it most likely will.

I would buy now personally, 35-45% increase in performance but it will almost certainly be more expensive anyway

As stated in other thread "I would buy now personally, 35-45% increase in performance but it will almost certainly be more expensive anyway"

For future reference, if you realise you may have made your post in the wrong section, ask a mod to move it instead of creating a new post

Depends. Can you go without games for another 3 months or not? You could also just get a 2nd hand card for the time being, and just upgrade when you can. Lots of nice deals out there.

The 2060 is still not announced. It will likely be more expensive than the current 1060 prices. If you need a GPU now, buy a 1060 or check out the used market.

I asked myself a similar question. There is a 1060 6G on sale for 266€ + a free 240GB SSD. But you most likely have to compare the 1060 6G to something like a 2050 or 2050Ti. (Of course it is not confirmed that they will release a 2050 or 2050Ti but since they rise their prices they will need more low end cards.)

No, it didn’t drop because of the new GPUs, it dropped because the mining craze stopped

Buy it used.  You'll spend less than MSRP, so it won't hurt as much if you have to upgrade later.  Make sure returns are accepted, in case it comes broken.

I would personaly go for the 1070 since the high end cards are cheaper and will probably be cheaper when the rtx cards  launches
