That's a 10 year old dual core PC. Any modern GPU will be bottlenecked, sadly, even a GT1030.

I think you should keep your money and save up for something like a Ryzen 2200G setup.

You could buy a Core 2 Quad Q9400 for a few tenners and get a 750Ti perhaps, but that's still a stopgap imo.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

You can always get a gpu from around 8-10 years back,

Start saving and build a cheaper yet affective setup by using the Ryzen 2200G which has a rather good graphics for an integrated graphic.

Instead of wasting money on a GPU for this machine, keep what money you have now and save up for a new build.

Any GPU's $35 or under are junk, the best thing you can do is keep the $35 you have already and save up for a new PC.

Nothing $40 or under is worth buying, you may as well forget about getting a 'new' GPU for this machine.

If he can find a 750 Ti for $40 (tough, but possibly doable) then that would work.

Just don't buy the fake GPUs on ebay and you'll do fine. Especially if the card comes from China.

But a 460 should be fine. It may still be bottlenecked, but if you really don't care about that, just do it.

Though you'd be hard pressed to find one for $35 or less. You'll need a bit more than that. Like $20 more. Unless you know of a local store that sells them.

Indeed. For $30 you might be able to find a HD5770 or a GTS450, but that's about it.

Not in the US, assuming you buy locally. I've bought several for $45-$50.

i found igtx750ti for 75$ but i also found gtx660 and considering benchmarks 660 is better but i'm not going to waste that much money for me it's like 200ლ (georgia lari) an it's... it's a lot

tbh i was just asking which gpu would be suitable for the cpu i'm not building some budget gaming pc :D

That may be, but we're trying to protect you from buying something that won't match properly. You don't want a bottleneck, yet you present us with near-vintage hardware and tell us off when we give you useful advice ;).

If you want that GTX460, go for it, but don't come back here when it's underperforming ^_^

A Core 2 Quad could, but a dual core is just not enough anymore these days.

Your best bet is to play games that don't demand a GPU. There's hundreds that will run great and are releasing even this year. Paladins would be a great start. Pixel art games would be your best bet and they release games it seems like every single week. Owlboy. Don't Starve. Stardew Valley. Minecraft.

Buying a $20-$50 GPU won't make much of a difference.
