Favorite Component to Upgrade?

SrN95

What are some of your favorite things to upgrade in regards to your rig? I just recently upgraded from a GTX 650ti to a 780, and honestly I feel gpu upgrades are my favorite just because you feel instant gratification as soon as you launch a game...Although I'd say a close second would be a monitor upgrade, as that it the component you stare at for hours on end :P

Peripherals are fun to upgrade every once and while also.. entering the mechanical keyboard world was fun :)

So, how about you guys?

I usually wait about 2 years for a complete build but I have been known to buy a new case about every year, maybe a bit less. My newest case is from caselabs and I spent the extra money on it hoping that it can stop my bad habit of buying to many cases...The one case to rule them all.

I voted monitors, just like op said the instant gratification from monitors and GPU's make it about a tie between the two of them.

I love the feeling of new monitors, especially if they are larger. Feels like a new world every time.  ^_^

HDD to SSD.  I love seeing people's faces when you swap out their existing hard disk for an SSD and their computer boots in under 12 seconds  :P

My custom loop. Feels more satisfying to me making my computer look better than perform better as I do not game that much.

My rig: i5 2500k, MSI Z77A G45, Gainward GTX 980 Phantom, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, OCZ ZT series 750W PSU, 1TB HDD, 800D, fully water cooled. I am currently working on modding my HAF 912+ to fit a custom loop, here is the build log: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/165963-project-viridis-water-cooled-haf-912/

Oh, it's hard to decide. I find GPUs boring to install, as it's just unplugging and then just plugging something else in, even though you get jumps in performance.

I'd have to say motherboard or case as you have to take the entire thing apart. They also make the biggest visual differences (getting the Sabertooth and 750D were amazing upgrades). I also like to how much better I can get my cable management when I have to take the entire rig apart.

You can get the same satisfaction when upgrading the computer case.
