You do realise that China is by almost all metrics the most successful capitalistic system of recent years? And that one their most uniting feeling is the one of revenge against the western societies that hurt them greatly in the less recent past and absolutely not a communist ideal of any sort.

I agree with this post, except to say they still do have communistic characteristics/rules.  But then when you are trying to move a nation that contains 1/3 the worlds population from a communist state to a genuine democracy,  you have to do it in a very slow and controlled manner.  I can guarantee if the US had to make major changes to it's political structure it would do it slowly and carefully too.  There's a lot more riding on their transition than just security and independence.

Also on the topic of censorship, if a method is available to you to express yourself or your content then you are not being censored. Censorship is for all intents and purposes an absolute forbiddance.

With the exception of Hong Kong, China is a Socialist ideal, approaching communism.

By all metrics, no, China is not the most successful capitalist system.

No, they're not put for revenge. They're ran by a facist regime that wants the long term elimination of opposing opinion.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

No, they were communist, they are moving out of it not into it.  The problem is if they move to fast the whole country will be uncontrollably unstable.  literally billions of people in chaos.   Capitalism is on the rise hugely in China, it started with farming and is spreading into manufacturing.

Search engine is a product. China requires a product with some changes. Product generates revenue. Revenue generates salaries. So SHUT THE F*CK UP and do the job you are paid for. That is what you get when you let SJW to dictate what is "good" for your company. Google will soon turn to shit because of all SJW BS it allowed to grow inside.

I'd argue it's more totalitarian traits than communist traits. But I'm not sure they try to really move towards democracy. When I was there they didn't really seem to think it was a good idea anyway.

I think Google can be argued as censors sometimes, solely because almost everyone uses it, and since not everybody knows they limit access to some information most people don't move away from their search engine, and there is in effect a limitation of certain content exposure.

Which ideal is that in your mind?

They have huge wealth inequalities from people working at the forefront of the Chinese industry. Money has a central place in their society as well. They produce for the "free" market of the West and do it quite better than the US to be honest. And finally even though they live in a totalitarian state which imposes a lot on them, I don't think rating their citizens like they do is very socialist. At best it tries to measure who deserve to be happy and who doesn't to skew the individual search of happiness, just like it works elsewhere with different mechanisms to favour a certain type of citizens.

I am pretty sure the Chinese government vehemently believe moving toward a democracy too quickly is a very bad Idea.  The country they are today is a lot more capitalist and democratic than it was 20 years ago, even 10 years ago.

I can see how it looks that way, but monopolies on platforms are not the same as not having the ability to promote your content/opinions.  Censorship is when that option is taken away, not just hindered because one of the larger platforms does not want to let you.

I think they think moving towards a democracy altogether is a bad idea... when there you still feel the police and government looking at what you do most of the times. They have a long way ahead regarding basic freedom of speech and opinion, but that probably won't change without any revolt from the people.

The line is a bit blurry. Look at Nazi Germany. You could still access non propaganda information, but you had to go off the common platforms. The only difference now is that you won't get killed for using a different search engine. (In China you'd be in jail for it though I think).

This is the same Google that blocks sites it doesn't like IN THE US from indexing. Where was the outrage then?

They are definitely a long way from true freedom/democracy that's for sure.

Where is the outrage when google and youtube censors and demonitizes stuff using the biased SPLC as "trusted flaggers" in the US because of the company's political agenda in shaping the news?

Why arent these employees fired promptly like James Damore?
