Building a new gaming desktop

LECTAR_NaGA

so lets start

1. ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG Strix Graphic Card (STRIX-GTX1070-8G-GAMING)

2. Asus Z270F Strix Gaming - LGA1151 - 7th Generation MotherBoard

3. Be Quiet! BK022 Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Air Cooler 250W TDP 6-Pole Fan Motor 6 Heat Pipes Silent Wings135mm PWM Fan

4. Kingston SSDNow A400 120GB SATA 3 Solid State Drive (SA400S37/120G)

5. G.SKILL Trident Z RGB Series DDR4 Memory Module (16GB X 2pcs, 2400Mhz)

6. Western Digital 1TB Black Internal Desktop Hard Drive (Western Digital1003FZEX)

7. Intel Optane Memory 16GB PCIe M.2

8. Intel Core i7 7700K Processor

9. Samsung 970 Evo Series - 250GB PCIE NVME - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V7E250BW)

10. i will also be including fans (that will be about 6 fans)

So this is what I have come up with

Q1. I don't know which power supply to buy.

Q2. Is the above components all compatible

Q3. Would you change anything to make it better (taking into consideration of the cost)

I would wait on the gpu. 20 series is going out on monday. Feed all the parts into pc part picker and it will tell you the total wattage and give you a range of power supplies to pick from. Otherwise all the parts are good.

Avoid those

That old shit is too expensive for what you get. 4 Cores/8 Threads for 250€ or more? Ähm, no. Absolutely NOT!

YOu can get something similar for 150€ or so. So you should either go with AM4 or choose something else.

Here's a better way to start for your budget:

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/spitty84/saved/qCyfHx

I picked a Vega 64 so that Free Sync could be used with the monitor.  Feel free to sub here and there, but I would model your build more like this.  The 970 pro is a huge waste of money if you're only getting a 1070 and a 7700k.  An upper mid-range SSD is more practical, as anything more will see VERY diminished returns in terms of actual performance.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Your loss...

Since you are so hellbent on getting the worst chip for the most money, regardless of the security issues that are popping up left and right.

Just look for Spectre, Meltdown and now Foreshadow.
