Essentially same thing. Except maybe with little more free protection. Keys aren't different.

It's both cheaper and makes sure you don't get your credit card stolen.

Never heard of it, most people I know use sites like G2A.

But honestly I've never tried using third party digital marketplace to purchase Windows key.

I think a good rule of thumb is: If you have to ask if a website is legit, it's more than likely not.

Stay away if you don't want to risk future headaches.

That is true what you saying

It's still got a mixed reviews, it's still kinda greyish. Some said that some of the keys were obtained illegally, some said legit.

I can't endorse any third party digital marketplace to purchase Windows key to be honest.

With Windows keys G2A is as legit as marketplace site can be. They require sellers to provide authorized resellers certificate. Just try and see how many Windows key you can find there :D

@Raven1976, do you actually need Pro? Home is much cheaper and for normal home use its just fine. Or you can use it un-activated with loss of pretty much nothing. Or you can sign-up and give up your freedom for free version.

Pro has features you need to create advanced networking, support for built-in VM, encryption and stuff like that. I've been using Home for past 10 years without need of any of those.

As @LoGiCalDrm points out, unless you actually need support for these advanced features, there's absolutely no point in paying the extra money for Windows Pro editions. I run Pro only because I happen to have licenses for Windows 7 Pro that I upgraded from, but honestly, I really have no need for it.
