I can assure you he won't, no one will. You have no right, especially in the UK to distribute copyrighted material. And saying this and showing this on a PUBLIC forum, and one that comply to laws is very unwise. I highly doubt that you have special privileges to distribute for free movies and TV shows from all the different studios and publishers at a world wide level, let alone in the UK only.

Maybe delete the thread? It does seem like a very stupid thing to post here

Yours faithfully

To be fair he didn't say anything about distributing them or how they were obtained. He said he just wanted Linus to view his catelog of items, not actually watch the movies/shows.

I am curious how many TB of storage that is eating up. I have a little over 50tb of content atm and my amount of items is much lower than that. Some of mine are 4k though... so that could skew things a tad.

That I understand, I would say in the future though you need to be very clear on what you are saying. I say this because you are firmly walking in the gray area atm...

So Goodbytes is right in the sense that this probably isn't the best place for this post and most people will view this as "Come look at my illegally obtained collection." Not to say they are right, but with the amount of content you have and what you are offering who knows if that is a valid case. That being said I am going to assume this is a legal collection and you aren't asking him to VIEW your copyrighted material only to look at your impressive catalog.

and ofcourse these are all obtained legally.

32TB server

Are they all 1080p? Which format are they in. That is a lot smaller than I was expecting.

im surprised plex themselves hasn't been called out for allowing people to share servers with their "friends"

Really anybody can just be invited and have access to tons of stuff they didn't pay for; effectively making it a not very well known piracy platform from that aspect.

I guess because they put it in the user's hands its outside of their control but if I were them I wouldn't allow that/highly discourage it

Well, for starters copyright laws are different. For example here you are allowed to share with family members. And consuming something that is available isn't against anything. Sharing copyrighted material to anyone is. Plus, Plex might have something about it in their ToS. Essentially washing their hands of any legal actions. Something like what cheap key marketplaces have to make difference between host and individual sellers.

Plus it's not like Plex itself has the functionality of distributing copyright material other than for viewing, unlike Kodi which allowed open source plugins which provided pirated content.

Why would anyone want to show total strangers their Richard Photographs?

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

We all say pirating is bad and all but I’m fairly sure everyone does it anyway. I do it because some shows aren’t available on Netflix or songs on Apple Music. Can’t really get them anywhere else and there are no real threats to piracy here in NZ. We still have that tard Kim Dotcom here for a few more months, can’t get rid of him.
